My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a quite rare 1997 Volvo 850 T5-R Turbo Wagon. I would rate the exterior of this Volvo to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is still a decent looking estate. As with most older red Volvos, the paint has faded in spots and doesn't look its best. It would probably buff up if you spent an afternoon on it...but I'd rather sell it like this so you know what you're getting. Less honest dealers would buff the crap out of it so you won't know what you were getting until a month or so after you bought it. The body lines up nice and stright. The hood, tail gate and doors all open and close easily. While the paint isn't exactly great looking, the body doesn't show too bad. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory twisted five spoke alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Michelins with deep tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this 850 Turbo to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The tan interior contrasts nicely against the red exterior. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age throughout the interior. The seats are supple and show very well for their age. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The audio system is original. Both front seats are heated. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this 850 Turbo appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.3L turbocharged inline five cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. For me, buying cars with high miles is a gamble. I looked at the interior and the tires and had a hunch that this car would be good...and I was right. This is one of the nicest driving 850's I've had in a while. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering and brakes feel good, too. If I'm being picky, you can feel a slight pulsation in the brakes but only when braking hard at highway speeds. The engine keeps normal temperature and feels strong. The turbo spools up quickly and then this car takes off!!! The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. As a sidebar...I am not certain if this is a real T5-R or just a regular 850 Turbo Wagon. The T5-R badge is in the correct location and has the right amount of age to it to be authentic. If my memory serves me correctly, I thought all the "R" cars had the suede inserts in the seats as well as the pencil beam fog lights in the front bumber cover. This has neither...but it does have the proper badge and it runs like a raped ape. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a quite rare 1997 Volvo 850 T5-R Turbo Wagon. I would rate the exterior of this Volvo to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is still a decent looking estate. As with most older red Volvos, the paint has faded in spots and doesn't look its best. It would probably buff up if you spent an afternoon on it...but I'd rather sell it like this so you know what you're getting. Less honest dealers would buff the crap out of it so you won't know what you were getting until a month or so after you bought it. The body lines up nice and stright. The hood, tail gate and doors all open and close easily. While the paint isn't exactly great looking, the body doesn't show too bad. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory twisted five spoke alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a matching set of Michelins with deep tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would rate the interior of this 850 Turbo to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The tan interior contrasts nicely against the red exterior. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age throughout the interior. The seats are supple and show very well for their age. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The climate control system appears to be working properly. The audio system is original. Both front seats are heated. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
Mechanically, this 850 Turbo appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.3L turbocharged inline five cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. For me, buying cars with high miles is a gamble. I looked at the interior and the tires and had a hunch that this car would be good...and I was right. This is one of the nicest driving 850's I've had in a while. The suspension feels nice and tight. The steering and brakes feel good, too. If I'm being picky, you can feel a slight pulsation in the brakes but only when braking hard at highway speeds. The engine keeps normal temperature and feels strong. The turbo spools up quickly and then this car takes off!!! The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
As a sidebar...I am not certain if this is a real T5-R or just a regular 850 Turbo Wagon. The T5-R badge is in the correct location and has the right amount of age to it to be authentic. If my memory serves me correctly, I thought all the "R" cars had the suede inserts in the seats as well as the pencil beam fog lights in the front bumber cover. This has neither...but it does have the proper badge and it runs like a raped ape. I've driven several 850Turbo's and this is noticeably faster...but I wanted to let you know in case it isn't a real R.

Winning Bidders:

Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyer we can issue a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $39 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance.
