This is a 1966 Lincoln Continental convertible with the suicide doors. Owner recently passed away and the car is now part of his estate managed by his daughter who is a family friend. He was a serious car guy and had owned the car since the early 1970's. Car was always garaged, it was his baby and he was in the process of restoring the car. When the owner built a new law office years ago, he added a special garage to the back of the building so he could drive his classics to work and not worry about them. I have receipts from Baker's Auto, a well known Lincoln restoration specialist in Putnam, Ct, totaling over $17,000 in 2008. The work included, a new convertible top, adjustments to the top mechanism, new master cylinder, new rear main seal, exhaust work, suspension/steering work, switches, motors and gears for the windows and some electrical repairs on switches and lights. The car has the 462 V8, 3 spd auto trans, is mechanically solid and fires right up. Brakes, suspension and steering are right where they should be. The top works as it should as well as all of the windows and vent windows. Passenger's front window has an intermittent problem and does not work all of the time. Interior is complete and all original in great condition. It will need a full cosmetic restoration to the exterior. Some of the panels have rust but the car is solid. All of the exterior chrome/trim is present minus 1 Continental emblem. The owner had stripped another Lincoln that was wrecked and there is a bunch of spare parts. He pretty much took everything off of it that was bolted down. The car is located approximately 25 miles southeast of Boston, MA.
