Vehicle Detail
I have here a 1963 Volkswagen Ragtop Beetle that I spent two years restoring. I bought this car from the original owner. The car stayed in a storage building for 18 years almost completely untouched. After I made the purchase, we started restoring the bug to where it sits today. The car was stripped down to just the pans and pulled apart. The pan was blasted, sprayed with bed liner and painted gray. The suspension setup is a 3.5 in narrowed beam with drop spindles and disc brakes were added with new link pins. It has Stainless fuel line ran through the tunnel to prevent any fueling issues. The pedal assembly was completely rebuilt with all new bushings so it is tight and not sloppy. We installed new emergency brake lines, new brake lines, new master cylinder, and new complete rear drum brakes. The car has a very well built pro street transmission with SAW axles. The engine is a fresh built 1641cc with a stock style carburetor. The setup runs and drives well with no issues. The car has been painted a beautiful Ruby Red. It gets attention wherever it goes. It has Custom Gray Leather Interior with Black and White Hounds-tooth inserts. The car has a University of Alabama theme to it. The door panels have a crimson “A” on them but can be removed if so desired buy the new owner. It also has Custom headlight buckets with Hounds-tooth outlining the buckets for a very custom and unique look. The top has a Custom, One of a Kind Functional Gray Ragtop Cover that is made of All Weather Canvas so it is very durable for the weather. This 1963 Volkswagen Beetle gets attention anywhere we go with it; whether it is to a gas station for fuel or a 600+ attendance car show like Caffeine and Octane. It is always a show stopper and an incredible conversation piece. We have been in many magazines and photo shoots. It’s a very rare occasion that it doesn’t bring home best in show as well. The car is sold with Georgia bill of sale only. But you can get a title in your state. I have a chain of ownership on the car If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I will be more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability. If you are interested I also have many extra pictures of when the car was being built and all of the work that went into it. I will be more than happy to share those with you as well at your request. Thank you for your time, Happy Bidding!!!
