Here I go selling my fastback project simply due to running out of space and the time. I bought it as you see it. Its sitting on a Chevy K5 chassis. The original owners family did this in 1985, and luckily it sat, covered ever since. There's almost no modification to the mustang other than only 4 bolts to the sub frame & a 3" notch cut for the steering shaft, no welding, etc. ! Considering I had plans of a rack & pinion steering with coil overs & a fresh 9" & suspension in back anyway, the car already has the removal done ! Plus I've found the complete K5 chassis, transfer case, th 400 trans, etc is worth at least $ 700. The body on this car is very solid & straight, and I believe all the panels, structure, etc. is all original. ( its been sitting covered since 1985, by original owner). The hood & trunk need replacing tho (the tarp did more harm than good on those). Note the paint, looks to be 1 repaint since factory, done before car sat. Unlike other "project cars" NO MYSTERY SURPRISE PRIMER JOB ! This car needs very little prep for paint ! It has original fender build tag, original doors with trim plate, original vin tag under windshield ! Clear Florida title ! As far as 'metalwork" the only I can tell is the 2 front floor pan halves, and the side trunk pans, (easy hobbyist job) ! The sub frame, door sills, torque boxes, firewall, fenders, quarters, rear sail pan- all the nasty work stuff- IS IN GREAT SHAPE ! I especially like the fact its an odd BASE FASTBACK- no Mach 1, big block, Boss, etc. So there's no "shame" so to speak in doing what you'd like on the car . Its an original, red, fastback, 6 cyl, manual trans car ! See pics, it comes with 90% all complete original interior, glass, trim & parts !
