Introduced to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1963, the 911 was a larger, more powerful and refined replacement to the much loved 356. The 911 made its debut in the United States for model year 1965 and was an instant success offering robust German engineering in a superbly balanced sports car. By the early 1980’s Porsche AG was faced with a decision of whether or not to keep the 911 program going or replace it all together. A decision was made and the 911 continued, making way for the redesigned 3.2 model. For model year 1984 Porsche introduced a much improved 911 and brought back the Carrera name. The 911 saw another change for 1989 with the introduction of the 964 body. Incredibly advanced for its day the 964 was received with mixed reviews but found their following. For model year 1995, Porsche introduced the 993. The 993 was given praise for its exceptional balance and precision and would go on to become one of the best of the air cooled 911’s and one of Porschephiles favorites. The 993 is the final evolution of the original air cooled 911 from 1963 making these highly sought after cars.
European Motor Studio is proud to offer this gorgeous 1995 Porsche 911 Cabriolet 6-speed finished in Guard Red with a Classic Grey Pearl leather interior. This 993 left the Porsche Stuttgart production line in October of 1994 and was invoiced to Porsche North America. The car was sold new in Maryland on January 14, 1995. The car lived in Maryland until moving to Texas in 2005 and then to AZ this year and has only traveled a documented 47,800 miles. This 993 is equipped with the Comfort Package, leather seats and 17” 5-spoke wheels with the Porsche center crests. The Guards Red paint is in excellent condition showing only minor flaws but still retains a very nice shine (few stone chips in the front nose and a couple on the back lower fender, most having been touched up). The two clear plastic stone guards on either rear fenders do show some slight hairline cracks. The interior shows very well with only minor creasing and wear on the driver and passengers seats. There are absolutely no tears of any kind on the seats or the trim. The center console and dashboard are in excellent condition and do not show any damage or discoloration (the 2 of the plastic tape holders are broken). The carpets are in nice original condition and show minimal signs of wear and free from any tears or damage. The convertible top and the convertible boot cover is new and shows no signs of wear. The car starts right up and runs superb. It idles with ease and does not smoke or leak. The car shifts into gear without any problems and accelerates smoothly and quickly. The transmission is exceptionally smooth and does not grind or hesitate. The clutch is smooth and free from any slipping. The brakes have an excellent positive feel to them and show no signs of fading or grinding. The steering and suspension are incredibly precise and tight giving no signs of issues. There are no dash lights illuminated and everything appears to be functioning as designed. The power windows, power door locks, both driver and passenger seats, power convertible top and power rear spoiler are all functioning as designed. The AC blows ice cold and the heater is blowing very hot on all the fan speeds. The power mirrors are slow but do work. All of the lights are illuminating correctly, the headlights, side marker lights, turn signals, brake lights, taillights, reverse lights, dash lights, hazards, boot light, and engine lid light are all working. The radio is operating and the speakers are nice and clear without any cracking in the sound. All of the gauges appear to be reading correcting and the clock is still keeping the correct time. The tire tread is about 75%-80% left and the front brake pads appear to be pretty new. A rear spoiler motor was just replaced along with new front and rear hood shocks, alternator, drive belts and an air filter. This 993 comes with a complete set of Porsche books in their original black binder, spare tire with jack, tool roll, two Porsche keys and convertible top boot and some recent service receipts. The car comes with a clean and clear Box A actual miles title and a clean Carfax. There are no signs of any body damage or repair work on the car and there is absolutely no rust or corrosion anywhere. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a gorgeous Porsche 993 Cabriolet with low miles and in excellent condition.
