As you may know, we are typically a Porsche and Ferrari operation, however this Mercedes S350 Turbo Diesel belonged to one of our clients. He owned the car since 2004 when it had 83k miles. He drove it daily for work and it never let him down. 2 years ago he had a new Mercedes transmission installed as the original started slipping ($5500). All work it ever needed was performed without question, including a genuine Mercedes battery! Until recently that is. The rear tires began to wear on the inner edges. We looked at the car and it was in need of rear control arms/bushings (and tires of course). When presented with estimate he opted to upgrade into a new unit. We ran this thru our shop and the following services were just completed: - Engine oil service (Genuine MB filter & Rotella 15/40 Diesel oil) - Replaced fuel filter - Replaced air filter - Replaced lower rear control arms and bushings (German Lemforder brand parts) - 4 Wheel alignment - Replaced engine serpentine belt and tensioner pulley - Replaced front brakes pads and wear sensors - Replaced rear brake pads Mechanically the car is very well sorted out. ENGINE STARTS IMMEDIAELTY EVERYTIME regardless of ambient temperature, the glow plugs system works perfectly. ENGINE DOES NOT SMOKE ON START UP, OR EVEN WHEN CLIMBING THE STEEPEST INCLINES. Motor sounds wonderful, gearbox shifts very nicely. This example does not have the troublesome SLS (Self leveling suspension). So no worries of future expensive repairs. The car does have all the goodies that the W140 S Class cars are known for. Legendary build quality, these era S class appear 'military grade' in comparison to the new generation. The quality of the materials is just amazing. Dual pane window glass, supple carpeting on floors and doors. The ride quality will rival ANY modern car! 85MPH feels like 25MPH. Overall the exterior condition and paint are very presentable. Some nicks and a scratch here and there expected with mileage, but not major dents/scratches/paint issues. When we took these pics we had a pretty good frost in the morning, a little frost remains on the hood in the one picture, its not a paint defect. There is no rust on the undercarriage/frame, very solid car (prior to 2004 the car was in Florida). All of the hood, door and trunk jambs are surprisingly clean. The interior is quite clean. Showing normal wear on driver’s seat but no rips or tears. Wood trim in overall good condition, few cracks on the surround of the shifter lever. Power seats Power mirrors Power tilt and telescoping steering wheel Power door locks and windows Power sunroof Dual zone climate control Aftermarket Sony 10 CD Changer is mounted in the trunk (works good) Factory Mercedes carpeted mats is outstanding condition Factory tool kit complete Have all the manuals and zippered leather case. 2 keys, and the factory radio code is present. There are not too many of these S350 in North America. This is a great running a driving car. Things to note: 1. Heated seats are not operating at this time 2. Small rust area on each front fender (please see pictures) 3. Power seat headrests not functioning at this time (probably switches). They can be moved manually Offering the car here as I know there is a pretty loyal following for these turbo diesels. Originally we were going to have the small rust area repaired but ultimately decided to move the car as it is and pass those savings onto the next owner. Drive it as it is and/or fix at your leisure.
