Classic 1963 GMC 2500 dually flatbed pick-up, 50 year old truck, sold as-is, no warranty. Who says you can’t have a practical classic vehicle! This old beauty looks and runs great and can work on the farm too. This truck originally came out of Nevada and although it came to me in good shape, we decided to do more work to make the truck look and run even better. We’ve used it for weekend errands, parades, Farmers Market and just to run around town. We finished pulling the engine and transmission and replacing all the gaskets and seals. While the engine was out, we thoroughly cleaned the engine compartment and painted it. We painted the transmission as well so both look as close to original as possible. We cleaned the original plaid valve covers and replaced some old wiring and the voltage regulator. We also replaced the differential rear bearing seal and gas line. The last owner replaced push rods, radiator and thermostat, spark plus/distributor and points as well as re-building the starter. Tires are in fair condition, hold air just fine but low on tread. The truck turns over and runs great; not a finished show truck but a lot of fun and truck for the money. This is a 1963 model year, although this truck is titled a '62. It has 63 features, including the rare plaid valve covers. Original GMC 2500, 305 V-6 motor. 4 speed Muncie transmission. Independent coil spring front suspension, bench seat, partially restored interior, draw bar hitch. Truck comes with parts including some heating components, service manuals and extra gaskets. Your next project will be to hook up the speedometer and fuel gage, as both are currently non-operational. Vehicle is for sale locally, so auction may be cancelled if truck is sold.
