1965 Chevrolet Corvair reconditioned in 2006 and driven by my son to high school in 2007 then put in a barn until last year. Vehicle was not prepped for paint correctly, paint looks good but has come off in chunks (pictures). Left rear quarter was damaged and not repaired. Floors were rusted and repaired but not with the pressed steel floor that Clarks Corvair parts sells. Car has rust in lower front fenders and front lower doors ( pictured) and needs left quarter panel repaired/replaced. Rear seat is out of a 69 Corvair convertible and does not match the correct 1965 front seats but the springs, upper and lower are good. NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS! Car drives great! upper ball joint replaced, brakes are good, has good 14 inch tires on good looking Chevy Nova rally wheels. Carpet and convertible top were replaced in 2006 and in good shape. Clutch was replaced in 2007. Front seats are original, drivers has a seam at bottom of back that is split, has an am/fm CD radio with a power antenna.The best part is the engine. This summer we had 140 heads worked with a 3 angle valve job, had a valve seat replaced in one head, put in new valve seals and installed on engine with new o-rings and head gaskets. The dual exhaust is new along with the corresponding donut gaskets. Carburetors (all four) are rebuilt. Vehicle comes with additional engine lid (hood), gas door and cove area moldings in rear.
