I REALLY LOVE THIS CAR.........but it's time to pass it on to someone else..... This 1949 Pontiac has been the best car I've ever owned, and I've owned plenty, drag cars, muscle, customs, rat rods, hot rods, classic restored.......you name it, and I've had it...........convertibles, coupes, sedans, from model A's to Packards even had 11 at 1 time, but through it all, I never ever considered selling the "CHIEF", (lighted hood ornament works), but at 68 years old, it's time to give it up.......2 back operations keep me from maintaining it as it deserves, and that makes me feel bad was driving it around the neighborhood since I brought it to California with me, did a couple of local cruise ins, but not enough, just sits in the carport, gathering dust this summer I started to move it back to trim some bushes, when I realized NO BRAKES.....oops, ran into my other car in my own driveway...........felt like a real "dumb ass"......needs some bump out type body work and a bumper (available) has it's share of "road rash" from my travels, but other than surface rust from this summers incident in the driveway, only a few paint bubbles............but deserves a new paint or primer look! Interior is great, but does show some fading (quick Spray dye job) UNLESS YOU ARE A MECHANIC........VEHICLE MUST BE TOWED WHEN CARB IS ADJUSTED OR REPLACED THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A DREAM, VERY DEPENDABLE Would and have driven this car anywhere, anytime, smooth comfortable ride like a LINCOLN!On Dec-21-14 at 10:07:53 PST, seller added the following information: Bidder pulled out, I guess my auction runs too long.......he won another car he was also bidding on.........really bad idea to bid on multiple items, huh!!!
