Vehicle Detail
1968 Chevrolet C-10 short bed, step side, pro-street with unknown mileage. It’s powered by a 350 small block Chevy backed by a turbo 350 transmission and a narrowed Ford 9” rear with Strange axels. Four wheel disc brakes and no power robbing accessories. 15” centerline wheels with Hoosier radials. The engine is from a ’79 Camaro and is internally stock. An Edelbrock dual plane intake manifold and Holley carburetor helps it breathe. GM HEI ignition does the spark duty. The truck exhales through headers, 2.5” pipes and Flowmaster mufflers. It sounds GOOD. The Turbo 350 transmission retains the stock converter but sports a shift kit. The truck shifts quick and hard. The narrowed 9” rear end ratio is currently unknown but it is estimated to be in the 3.50-3.70 range and is a posi. It is located by a ladder bar with a panhard bar. The frame has been back-halfed and was professionally done. A 12-15 gallon fuel cell was installed under the hinged metal bed cover. It rides on 3” drop spindles and drop coils up front for a total of a 5” drop. This truck drives impeccably well for a lowered wide tired vehicle with no power accessories. Brake pedal effort is minimal and it steers very easily with no play in the box. Drive it anywhere, just not in the snow. The interior has been redone with a flat dash and Autometer gauges that function. The bench seat and door cards were tastefully redone in leather. It has a Lokar shifter. The heater and blower controls are under the dash and are operable. A panel could be fashioned to facilitate easier operation. Billet window cranks and latch controls are in great shape. A new windshield was installed as well as new front and rear window seals. The weather stripping was also replaced. The side markers were removed and the truck painted a Viper red and white two-tone homage to So-Cal Speed Shop. The paint is okay; some of the red has orange peal in spots and should be wet sanded and re-cleared to be a mirror finish like the rear quarters and hood. The patches for the side marker holes were not done very well and cracking can be seen on the fenders. Some minor paint chipping on the front end and hood seams are present and easily repairable. The left rocker panel is kinda soft, it should be replaced. At least it is in the white of the paint and could be easily done without a major respray. This truck is located in Rheems, PA. Appointments to see the truck can be made (Mondays and Tuesdays work best). I am free to answer any and all questions and will be prompt and honest with responses. I don't like buying misrepresented stuff so I refuse to sell misrepresented stuff. If you would like a picture of something, ask. The car is stored in a garage for which I do not possess the keys; it may take a little time to respond to a specific request. I will not tell you my reserve, don’t ask. I will tell you that the reserve is much lower than the starting price on comparable auctions. It will be the buyers’ responsibility to pay for and make arraignments for transportation and pickup. A $500 deposit is due within 48hrs from the end of the auction and will be accepted through PayPal or other methods minus credit card. The balance is due within 7 days from the end of the auction and will be accepted in cash, cashiers check, or wire transfer only. Thanks for viewing my auction and happy bidding.
