Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my 2005 Chevy Tahoe. I am the original owner. the truck has been my daily driver for almost 10 years. It has been very good to me. The body is in good shape. It does has some minor scuffs and scratches but no dents. The car is stored inside at night so the paint is still pretty good with no peeling of the clear coat. The tires are in good shape. It is the original engine. The transmission was replaced at about 140k. I used to use it to tow a race car. When we replaced the transmission, we added an external transmission cooler and have had no issues with it. Since I used it to tow, I had switched out the ring and pin for a 4.10 about 6 or 7 years ago. This combined with the oversized wheels is why the speedometer/odometer are not accurate. As a result, I have a service light that shows ABS/Brakes. It trips a code since the ecu thinks the wheels are spinning faster than normal. The car actually shows that you are going faster than you are. It also causes the mileage to be off as well. As a reference 82 miles on the dash is actually about 70mph. As a result, the vehicle actually has less mileage than it shows on the clock. The interior is in pretty good shape bud does have some wear. The drivers side map pocket is missing, the passenger seat has a hole in it (bad dog) and there are some misc cuts in the backs of the front seats. The air conditioning blows cold. I changed out the shocks to Billstein Heavy duty units about 5 years ago Earlier this year we changed out the thermostat, water pump and hoses. The oil and filter have been changed regularly It has recently started to leak oil. I can only assume that it is from the pan gasket but am not sure as I have not crawled down to take a look. I am selling it because I have an new Tahoe that I am going to start driving on a daily basis.
