This nice old pickup belongs to a friend of mine who asked me to list it for him. Here is what he had to say about this cool old pickup. "This truck was built by a friend of mine about 25 years ago. He was a master mechanic who cut his teeth working on flathead Fords back when they were still available new. This truck is mechanically rebuilt and runs accordingly. The bodywork and paint is a home (amateur) job and is probably not as good in person as what the photos show. There are obvious repairs that were made to the fenders and the paint although it shows decently it obviously is not a professional job. The truck was driven very little once the truck was finished as the mans health was deteriorating once the truck was finished. The tires still have the mold fingers on them." When I went to photograph the truck I really fell in love with it and wish I could purchase it myself. The body and chassis appears to be very solid and mostly straight. The glass is clear and the windshield cranks out to allow fresh air in. The seat and door panels are nice as are the gauges and the doors open and shut nice. The engine is clean and runs well with no smoke or noises. The clutch feels good and works well. The brakes are, well, typical mechanical brakes which work but are marginal by today's standards. The bed wood had been planed and refinished and looks great. There are definitely some blemishes on the body but no rust. The cab floor is solid. The buyer of this truck is going to get a real solid driver that will take little work to be ready to enjoy. The vintage plates shown on the truck are not included in the sale. The truck is being sold at NO RESERVE so it will go to the highest bidder! A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction end via PayPal. The balance is due within two weeks by cash or certified bank check. The truck can be stored for up to 30 days if needed. We can ship this truck up to 200 miles for a nominal fee including to a port located on the coast of Virginia for overseas buyers. All others must make their own shipping arrangements.
