This truck was bought new by the township of historic Deadwood, South Dakota. It was used as the town's plow truck from 1948 until approximately 1964. It was then sold locally and used as a farm truck until the early 2000s. Original 361 cu. in. Red Diamond straight-6 engine, 2 transmissions, 2-speed rear end, hydraulic lines, and a PTO. This is a serious piece of machinery! Motor has never been opened up and is still in running condition! Extremely solid body, frame, floors, etc. The 4 Wheel Drive feature is extremely rare and from what I understand, almost unheard of on a '48 KB-8! The front differential is so large that it looks like it might give birth to a litter of Ford 9 inchers any day now! The potential of this truck is limited only by your imagination; it would make an excellent wrecker, dump truck, plow truck, flat bed, or anything else you can dream up! This truck is not only extremely rare and historic, but also in exceptional condition for its age and the hard working life it has lived.
