2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Extended Cab Very nice ’08 Silverado recently retired from a north-western Michigan county. 131k miles. This truck was used as an Animal Control unit and has been very well maintained by the county’s strict maintenance program. The Silverado runs and drives great; there are no service lights on or any visible fluid leaks. It appears that the rear box unit can be removed and a factory bed installed relatively easily. The rear unit is heated and cooled. Clear, MI municipal title. Drive-train: The Silverado is equipped with the powerful 353 horse-power 6.0 Liter V-8 Vortec engine with variable valve timing, 6 speed HD automatic transmission with overdrive, tow / haul mode and locking 3.73 rear differential. Exterior: The exterior is in great overall condition. There is NO rust and the paint is all original. There is no evidence of aftermarket panels or collision repair. The county markings were professionally removed by our staff, but some impressions may be visible in direct sunlight (especially on the rear box.) There are small areas on the driver’s door where the paint has flaked off – see pics. The rear bumper is missing a piece of plastic trim. There are plugged holes in the roof from the formerly installed emergency equipment. Interior: The freshly detailed interior of the truck is very clean. All of the doors and windows work properly. There are some small screw holes present in the dash trim. The heavy duty rubber floor covering makes cleaning up a breeze. Some of the options include: remote keyless entry, illuminated entry, power windows / door locks / mirrors, signal mirrors, AM/FM stereo, tilt steering column, air conditioning, folding rear seats etc. The rear unit HVAC control box is mounted on the transmission hump – see pics.
