Vehicle Detail
2006 Chevy Impala SS. This 5.3 liter V8 runs as strong as ever. It's still faster than most cars you see on the streets. I'm only the second owner, I've had the car since '09. The first owner kept his service records in the owner's manual and so have I. I also have all the receipts from over the years. I've been using synthetic oil since it passed 80,000 miles, and I've invested a lot of money in it over the years to keep it running smoothly. It has a K&N cold air intake, to increase airflow which in turn increases efficiency and power a bit. This engine is also equipped with "variable displacement," which means it runs on just four cylinders when you're not mashing the gas pedal, it gets over 20 mpg, but the ponies spring to life as soon as you stomp on the accelerator. The SS is the fabled top of the line model from Chevy. It includes leather, heated seats, alloy wheels, traction control, abs, cruise control, 6 disc premium sound system, and more. Basically everything you can get. This is a beautiful car. It's a sedan, and has plenty of room inside, but with an aggressive stance, spoiler, and big rims, to looks fast standing still. It has just a few scratches and dings, the usual for an eight year old car. I've included photos of the major flaws. If you know anything about Chevys, you know they've had some problems over the past few years. Lucky for you, I have taken care of the major issues in this car. The transmission has been redone, and is still under warranty. I've also taken care of two recalls Chevy has issued, including the big key/ignition recall that's been in the news recently. As I stated earlier, I have all receipts. However, this car does have a few small things to be aware of. It needs a new exhaust, it has a problem with a fan actuator which controls the heat/ac inside the cabin, and my mechanic mentioned it will need axle shafts within the next year or so. He said it won't be a problem to pass inspection, but it will need to be done in the future. The exhaust actually sounds good, throaty and mean, but it doesn't affect performance much. The last thing just controls the direction of the airflow in the cabin. My mechanic said it is not a hard fix, and not too expensive, but I don't want to deal with it. Also some cosmetics, one of the wheel caps says ABS instead of SS, and one of the headlights is polished and one is not. I'm just giving full, honest disclosure on these issues. This car runs strong, looks great, and is in good shape to be a great car for years of fun driving. Give me an email for any questions at dallmarg@hotmail.com. Preferred payment is PayPal.
