Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 2000 VW Beetle. It has a 1.8 L Turbo with automatic transmission. I bought the car for my daughters 16th birthday and she has driven it for the past year and 1/2. I bought the car used at a used car dealership in North Carolina. The car has had the oil changed with Synthetic Motor Oil every 4500 miles since I bought it. It has a new alternator, 4 tires with approx 5000 miles on them. I put new brakes, and air filter on the car when i bought it. The car has black leather interior with heated seats. It also has a power sunroof, power windows, power locks, cruise control and tilt wheel, along with a factory remote CD player. The car shifts perfectly and rides good. Approximately 2 months after my daughter started driving the car, she had a minor accident whereas she had a low speed rear end collision. The collision wasn't hard enough to activate the airbag. It simply buckled the hood slightly as you can see from the pictures. I never turned it in to the insurance. I have priced an aftermarket hood for $175. I have personally taken the car on several trips and driving the speed limit, with the AC on, I was able to get 34 mpg with premium fuel. The only problem that I've had with the engine is that it had a check engine light that coded at P1420 "Secondar Air Injection Control Module Malfunction". After checking with the local VW dealership, I learned that the Secondary Air Injection was simply an aid in starting a cold engine. The dealer said that it was a common problem with Volkswagen Beetles. A replacement Secondar Air Injection Module is $485. The dealer suggested that I simply remove the module and so I did. The car starts fine with no problems whatsoever. As you can see from the pictures, the car has been well taken care of other than normal wear and tear. I am only selling the car because my daughter will be going away to college in less than a year and I'd like something bigger for her to drive. You can also see from my feedback, that I am a great seller. I paid $7200 for the vehicle and have invested approx $1000 in it. I'm not looking at trying to get rich off the sale of the car so you'll see that I have a very low Reserve Price on the vehicle. If you would like any addition info please feel free to email me personally at kirk343@hotmail.com Good luck! Good luck
