Vehicle Detail
The buyer who won the bid flaked out , so i am tring this again. I have a 1969 Lincoln continental coupe for sale. it's in pretty good condition overall. i would give it a 7 out of 10. i am the 3rd owner that i know of. bought it from an elderly man in Tucson a couple of years ago. he really loved and took care of this car. he said he bought it from the original owner. he also said had rebuilt the engine about a thousand miles back and i have maybe put that on it since i have had it. i mostly drive it around town and could easily be a daily driver or cruiser. this is a turn key and go classic. the good : straight body ( no wrecks or dents ) clean title no rust or cancer glass is good. couple of small cracks in windshield. lights and turn signals work brakes are good 80 % tread on good tires main windows work, the 2 back need switches i believe and i have a website where they can be purchased drives smooth,460 engine, transmission does not slip.engine is strong! can easily do 75 or 80 on highway .choose not to of course. 65 is perfect for cruising. all chrome is there accept for one of the continental emblems broke. interior and headliner is in great shape. just got backseat redone. very fun to drive. turns heads and gets compliments wherever i take it. the bad : paint is starting to fade and crack in certain areas. trunk and top mainly. there is also a pretty good scratch along passenger side. and 2 scuffs in the front. so will def need paint if you want show quality. dash is cracked in the middle, have a dashmat on it now. just found out drivers door jamb needs a switch. which i'm sure is not expensive. i have rigged it for now. it will drain the battery because interior lights will stay on. easy fix. carb probably needs a lil adjusting. don't notice it unless i take it on a longer trip. in traffic it will idle a lil weird. kind of like it wants to stall but, it doesnt and it never has. again not a real issue. ac/heater blows air but, its hot in the summer and cold in the winter. not really sure about that one? have never had it looked at. seat needs a new electric switch and again i have a website for that. other than that no other issues. this has been a great car and kind of hate to part with it. but got to make room. there is just little cosmetic things like wood paneling needs securing. weather stripping is cracked and passenger door needs a plastic new lock. if you have any other questions or requests feel free to contact me.
