Vehicle Detail
This auction is for my 1973 Pontiac Trans Am. It is a survivor car with its matching numbers 455 that I have owned for over 10 years. Great running car with plenty of power. Some of the options are power windows, am/fm 8 track, rear defrost, tilt steering and performance axle, 3.42 gear. Standard was 3.08 gear. It is not a show car but a great survivor example with perfect floors and trunk etc. and just a good overall car that I really hate to sell. I have the original window sticker, owners manual, maintenance manual and other paper work. I will add pictures and to the description as the auction goes on. I have added a picture of the window sticker to display the options that match the car. I also took a picture of some of the other paper work that comes with the car to include promotional items that were mailed to the original owner. The paper work also shows that a 1971 Dodge Super Bee V-code (440 6 pack) was traded in to buy this Trans Am new. The unitized distributor was removed in the past and replaced with an HEI unit for better reliability. I do have the original unitized distributor (one year only?) and is included. I believe that is why that tachometer is not working. The one thing I don't have is the original exhaust manifolds. The car has headers and a nice exhaust system. The car has a small rip in the drivers seat, needs a headliner and the radio is not working at the moment ( I will try to resolve before sale). I just bought a brand new battery two days ago. It still retains its original intake and carburetor. The Bilstein shocks and springs are not that old. I bought a set of stainless steel OEM style complete brake line set. I only have installed the rear two lines when I changed the rear differential oil/additive and axle seals last summer. The remainder of the brake lines are included. I was told the paint was original when I bought it and is pretty decent for being 41 years old. The dash is perfect. This is a great overall car that is a good driver and a great investment. Hopefully she finds a good home. Inspections are welcome and encouraged. I am describing the car as I know it and see it. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
