Another no reserve auction offered by Autowerx diesel! This is a clean 1 owner 2008 F450 4x4 crew cab, a very rare piece being 4x4, auto and crew cab with a normal dually bed. Its being sold as-is with no reserve because of a somewhat unknown mechanical issue. It starts right up and runs but has a slight miss, We haven't tore it open but assume that a lifter retainer or lifter assembly backed out and allowed a push rod to get out of alignment with lifter. This is fairly common on 6.4 trucks. Its noted by the THUMP THUMP THUMP ( like a book being slammed closed) coming back through the intake. its not real loud, with hood shut in the cab you can't really hear it. The noise is caused by the exhaust valve not opening and the pressure being pushed back up through the intake valve and into the intake. The motor is in reduced power mode but has no service codes. It is NOT knocking.. we are a diesel shop. It runs and drives fine otherwise, It happened wile driving down highway and was shut off and towed. Ran a total of 3-5 min sense. We don't believe it has anymore damage that what is described but make no guarantees to the fact. Your buying it as is where is. You ask well why don't we fix it? We are booked solid with 120.00 per hour repairs and don't have time or care to fix it. old saying stands true, If it don't make dollars it don't make sense. ***please note, there were stickers on this truck, we took them off and there still is some sticker glue. we will be cleaning it off.Paint is in really good shape.. ( inside is bed is scuffed up of course though ) Truck is 1 owner, its from the deep south so it has NO rust NONE! not even surface! The body is VERY straight! The only damage i see is rear right dually fender has crack on top of it and would easily be repaired.Tire and wheels are 19.5 with 85% or more rubber. Truck is 4x4 with a manual transfer case and manual lockout hubs.Its a XL truck with lots of options. power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise and so on. Miles are 156XXX. The grille is missing, i robbed it for another truck. It wasn't crashed! what you see is what you get, please ask any and all questions before bidding.
