Vehicle Detail
A nice 1977 Bronco. Last year of these. Not a show room vehicle. It doesn't have perfect paint or perfect interior, it is however a really nice, rust free daily that's been loved and cared for very well. Power disc brakes up front, 3.5" lift with a 351 matched to a C4 auto, manually locking hubs. B&M shifter, long tubes and an MSD ignition system. Gases escape through 2.5" dual exhaust and magna flows. Not loud at all, the tires make more noise than the exhaust. The tires have approx 4000 miles on them, with a full size spare and rim mounted to the aftermarket bumper and carrier. While its not a show room vehicle I do get compliments everywhere I go. The truck gets serviced at our local Ford dealership as all of our vehicles do. Heater works great and the truck is a blast to drive. The included pics are how the truck sits daily. I didn't detail it or armor all everything, the undercarriage is rust free and as far as I know it's never been spray painted either. I like show cars as much as anyone, but I'm not a real car show type guy. This Bronco was put together to be driven and that's what I do with it. I take it fishing, I haul the trash off with it, if I need to pull my small trailer to to the lumber yard it gets pulled with the Bronco. It's dependable and having it serviced costs 35.00 which is hard to beat. I did recently have the carb rebuilt and adjusted along with a new starter, solenoid, and battery installed. No radio or frills, this is the real deal. It does have the tubular doors painted to match the cage and I have a box of misc things that I've accumulated over time that will be included in the sale. So if you are looking for a perfect show room concours restored Bronco, this one isn't for you. If you are looking for a really cool daily that's pretty easy on the wallet and definitely doesn't get lost in the parking lot, this one might be for you. Reserve is set more than fair. I really would prefer you look at the Bronco in person if feasible, if you can't, feel confident that this is a really nice example. It's an overused cliche but pictures really don't do it justice On Nov-18-14 at 14:36:25 PST, seller added the following information: Added some pictures of the undercarriage. Now I had to lay on my back, and I'm no photographer, so if you want a particular shot or piece photographed you need to send me a message. Bronco didn't make it to service today because we are slammed at work, but I promised pics....so there you go. He goes to service tomorrow. Don't get crazy over the red you see underneath, that's Georgia clay. Red Georgia clay. It's red because of Iron Feride, which is the same thing that makes rust red. I assure you it's clay, but it's cold and I'm not taking a scrub brush to the underside of the Bronco today....or tomorrow. You'll have to trust me or come look yourself. Not trying to be difficult. I told you guys it's solid, and it is. I'm just too damn stiff and cold to go crawling underneath a truck! I'll ask the fellows at the dealership to wash underneath and take some pics while he's on the rack tomorrow. I'll try to post them as well.On Nov-21-14 at 15:56:19 PST, seller added the following information: To clarify things, I'll answer a few questions I keep getting. I don't mind talking about the Bronco, but these have been the most common and may clarify some things. Mileage on motor/tranny/etc? I have no idea. The block and oil pan are nice and Ford blue, and after testing the transfer case in the Ingles parking lot earlier, it has more power than I thought. It will easily spin the tires over. Easily. Probably lost a few miles off the rears. As far as mileage though, I have no idea. The block and oil pan being so blue lead me to believe it has been rebuilt. I'm not saying it has been, but it APPEARS that way. I just don't see someone pulling an engine to paint it. But stranger things have happened. I've had no reasons to do a compression test or anything of the sort. 4x4 work? Yes. See above. Honest to my heart, today is the first time I've ever engaged the front stick. I've never needed front pull. Off road capable? Sure. Why not. I have no desire or purpose to go off roading, wheeling, or mudding. I'm an old guy now. I like burning things in the back yard. Would you drive it cross country? If I had to, sure, but probably not. Not because I'd worry about a break down though. Fuel mileage is abysmal. A plane would be cheaper. Any bondo or metal work done to it? Probably, but I don't know. I haven't drug a magnet across it. I wash it on Saturdays, and wax it every 4th Saturday. I've not noticed anything out of sorts. It has bumps and bruises, it's almost as old as me. The Saturday thing is my ritual and to be completely honest I'm usually drinking a few cold beverages and watching the dogs run around. I'm not getting it ready for a car show. My Saturday deal is how I relax and "shake" the week off. An added benefit is it also makes Mondays a bit better to start off with a clean car. Why don't you know the complete history of the Bronco? It's a cool truck, I dig it. Immensely. I have it to drive it. Fact of the matter is 10 years ago I would have dumped a fortune into it. A fuel injected 302, overdrive auto, leather seats, 10K on paint and body, A/C, ridiculous suspension that I would never utilize, an awesome winch that I would never pay the cable out on....then it would sit in my garage and never get driven. Ask my Wife, or anyone that knows me. Look at the 89 Coupe I sold a few years back on Ebay. Spent 40K building it, owned it for 5 years, put 3100 miles on it. Or my Harley. Bought it, spent a small fortune on chrome and bullshit, sold it last year with 3500 miles on it. Had 2600 on it when I got it...in 05. There's a 2 door Yukon in the mix and a Triumph in the mix also, but you get the point. Out of everything I've had to drive, I enjoy this Bronco the most. It sits in the garage and I derive true pleasure from driving it. I'm not worried about driving down a dirt road in it, or knocking the dust off my boots when I get in or out of it, or throwing a trash bag in the back of it and hauling it off. Why are you selling it? Because if I keep it I will do ridiculous things to it and remove every ounce of soul that it has. Will I have to do any work on it when I get it? Not sure. Probably adjust the carb. It's a Holley. That should explain it Any leaks? Not in my garage floor, but that could change tomorrow. I was talking with a fellow earlier about the Bronco and after popping the hood I noticed some blow by on the valve cover, off of the breather. That does not concern me at all. The door panels are brand new and not on the doors. The passenger side was, but I took it odd today. Its much easier for me to take the doors off without the panels and I take the doors off as often as possible. Like today. I like the look with the bars on, and I love the feel. The panels will be included with the sale, along with aforementioned box of parts which includes additional tail light lenses, the smaller front gas tank, various (new) bushings, cool straps for something, 3 point belts, assorted replacement weather stripping, etc. Monday morning the Bronco goes to Pioneer Ford, where the transmission fluid and filter will be changed, engine oil and filter, and all other fluids checked and filled as needed. I'll get some more pictures tomorrow and update the listing one more time. Good luck.On Nov-22-14 at 14:37:25 PST, seller added the following information: i can't link the 60 additional photos I took this afternoon. eBay won't allow me to post the link and it's pretty frustrating. So you can go to photo bucket and search for 1977fordbronco1 and check them out. If that doesn't work, send me a message with your email and I'll forward you a link. I'm sure there's an easier way, but I'm obviously not the most tech savvy. I did notice a few drops of oil while underneath the old boy today. Haven't noticed them before, but I'm usually not underneath it. I will address this when it goes to Pioneer Monday. I'm thinking it's from my accidental burnout in the parking lot. If you read the novel above you know, if not; I think the oil dripped down the valve cover onto the pan, escaping from the breather. Again, I'll have the Ford place check that out Monday. In the album you'll notice I took pictures of the rockers and crossmember, spring perches and several of the tub. I do plan on having the Bronco serviced and "detailed" by a professional before delivery, but they will not be spray painting anything. Winning bidder can do that if they choose.
