Up for bid is a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Diesel sedan. It has the 5 speed manual transmission. These mark 3 Jetta diesels are amazing because they actually get fuel economies of 45-55+mpg while the newest Jetta diesels only get 32-42 mpg! This Jetta still looks great. The paint is a little faded on the hood and some parts of the body. It has two alloy wheels on the rear and two steel wheels (with hubcaps) on the front. Overall, it is way above average for the year. The interior is in excellent shape. The seats are all nice with no rips or tears. This is a non-smoker car! This car was purchased new and is a ONE OWNER. Mechanically, the car is in great running condition. The engine and transmission are still running strong. I had my mechanic check the car and he changed two power steering hoses and told me that the rest of the car looked great. It is getting difficult to find a diesel under $5000 let alone a rare Mark 3 diesel that can get up to 55mpg. I am selling the car to the highest bidder.
