Vehicle Detail
Very nice, original, white on black, 1988 BMW E30 M3 with 140,600 miles. Clear & clean title. Proper vin tags and body panels. My father was the 3rd owner and rarely drove this car. 16 inch chrome wheels (I'm thinking these are BBS wheels). Original wheels to be included in sale. Overall straight and clean. Multiple minor scrapes & dents, cosmetic faults. Lower most front fascia has multiple scrapes & marks. Front end is missing both tow recovery access panels. Dash is in really good shape minus the on board computer (doesn't work properly) and overhead instrument cluster (false indications/red lights stay on). Radio was replaced with a CD player. Center console ash tray for rear passenger needs to be replaced, could use new front floor mats, burn mark on center console next to gear shift, burn mark and rip on sunroof head liner (I promise this car doesn't smell like smoke...it smells like a 26 year old car). Missing driver side indicator light. Missing several tools from tool kit. Front leather seats have some wear but are in good shape. Back of rear seat has a split seam and carpet in rear window is faded. Rear spoiler needs to be resprayed and right rear has some bumper rash/marks/scrapes...Looks as those someone tried to touch spray at one time. Front hood strut needs to be replaced. Small raised "pimple" on hood, small ding marks under both side mirrors, small ding mark on drivers side window trim door & middle of door (touched up). Missing driver cardboard panel behind pedals that covers up wiring looms. Racing dynamics strut brace and after market exhaust (kind of loud...brand unknown). Runs strong and hard. I realize my description of this vehicle sounds harsh, however the majority of its faults are only minor cosmetic issues. It's my intention to be completely honest about everything I know about this vehicle and the overall shape of this M is something to be proud of. Awesome opportunity to own a rare, original, pure e30 M3. I'll do my best to answer any questions or concerns, and provide additional pictures if necessary. As Is No Warranty, Bidders with less than 10 feedback must contact me before bidding. Thanks for bidding. NO RESERVE!!! On Nov-13-14 at 19:02:40 PST, seller added the following information: Due to the fact that my father is sick and unable to be involved in this transaction..it is my intention to register this car under my name before the auction end to eliminate the 3rd party transaction. If any previous bidders need me to cancel there bid due to this fact please let me know. Attention any future bidders...the carfax/autocheck will list this car as a 3 owner vehicle...AGAIN...it's my intention to register this car under my name before auction end therefore making it a 4 owner vehicle. On Nov-18-14 at 16:38:12 PST, seller added the following information: I titled the car in my name on Saturday 11/15/2015....so this car is a 4 owner vehicle (2 of the owners being in the same family...I've only driven the car a couple hundred miles). A couple of items to update. I've had multiple inquires regarding rust. My father owns 9 cars...and this was not one he drove in bad weather. I have had this car on a lift and there's only minor surface rust underneath. Nothing to be concerned with especially being an east coast car of this caliber. I have a Land Rover...I know what rust is! Someone inquired whether there was tire rub on the front fenders from the oversized tires...YES there is....I'm assuming this is a common issue under the lips of the front fenders? Paint has actually popped on the passenger side fender lip...no rust...but can see metal. Seems to be an easy repair...especially if you plan on touching up the other minor cosmetic faults. FOG lights DO NOT work. I have not investigated why...could be the switch...could just be the lights themselves....don't know? And there seems to be some confusion on the indicator lights...NO instrument cluster lights behind steering wheel stay on...only the overhead lights stay on (ie low beams/brake lights/washer fluid...etc...while there's no obvious problem with whats indicated (in other words the low beams work, brake lights work, washer fluid level...all work and are fine)). I have no records of service on this vehicle. My father used Rick Hill Imports and a local BMW guy to do routine maintenance. Several questions concerning condition of the engine...no compression test #s or anything like that. All I can state is that the car seems to run awesome....I've had several sports cars including a Porsche Turbo and an E36 M...and this car is running very strong! Please let me know if you have any questions....I had several responses denied through eBay because of some kind of failure through my yahoo account. Finally....if you have only viewed this car via a smartphone and you are a serious bidder...you should look at this listing on a PC to be able to view the photobucket pics. There is no Buy it Now price...this car is going to sell to the highest bidder. Thanks and good luck.
