1950 Dodge Ratrod Started with a 1993 3/4 ton 2wd Dodge truck with a 12 valve Cummins turbo diesel motor and automatic transmission. We removed everything except the floor and the firewall of the 93 truck. to make the 1950 dodge cab fit weThen we split the1950 dodge truck cab in half and molded it around the 93 floor and firewall. To do this we had to widen the cab 16". Then to allow the fenders and bed to fit we stretched the truck 2-1/2 ft. Keeping all the mechanical functions of the 93 intact allowed for continued use of all the stock 93 functions the truck had which include: Power steering Power brakes Heat A/c, needs recharged All dash functions and gauges work All signals and emergency flashers work and brights work All warning and information lights work, such as low feul, engine ready start, water warning etc.o/d on off button works Stock fuel cell Engine is all stock We installed new ball joints upper and lower, new u joints New front and rear shocksnew alternator Led tail lights New tires with 16" portawalls and spike lug nuts Stereo cd/mp3 with 4 speakers This truck runs great. Rides like a 3/4 ton truck. we installed 2600 airbags in the rear for towing, this truck will haul any trailer!!!! We lowered it by flipping the rear axle and cutting 1-3/4 turns from front coil Front tires will rub on full lock turn.crack in drivers side glassFront rotors will need turned at some point in the future, on a real hard brake the wheel shimmys a small amount. its low however it Clears all speed bumps. im 6'4" and fit perfectcab can hold 3 large adults with room to sparecab was sealed with seam sealer and sound deading padding was installedall doors are sealed and is fairly quiet ride, mostly exhaust noise Gets thumbs up and smiles everywhere it goes. Draws a crowd at any event I take it to.
