1960 VW SINGLE CAB PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR CONDITION. RUNS STRONG, WAS DAILY DRIVER UNTIL RECENTLY IT IS IN NEED OF COSMETIC RESTORATION AND MINOR BRAKE JOB (SEE BELOW FOR MORE DETAILED INFO) CAR IS COMPLETE EXCEPT FOR GATES. WE NEVER GOT AROUND TO PURCHASING NEW GATES, THE ONES AS SCENE IN THE PHOTOS WORKED FINE. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO PAY IN FULL WITHIN 36 HOURS OR HAVE CONTACTED ME PRIOR TO PURCHASE AND MADE ARRANGEMENTS. IMMEDIATE DEPOSIT OF $500 DUE IMMEDIATELY TITLE IN HAND THIS IS A LIST WE CAME UP WITH FOR THE PROJECT.... YOU CAN'T SEE IN THE PHOTOS... OTHERWISE, REPAIR / RESTORE WOULD ENTAIL NORMAL PAINT, UPHOLSTERY, ETC. 1. New bed metal from Gerson is $700 + shipping then installation. There's rust in one or more cross members under the bed so that would need to be replaced. 2. Gerson gates (new) are $2800 a set + shipping. Used - $1500-1800. 3. Other rust repair areas: a. forward end of the bed at the base of the bulkhead is rusted through. b. outriggers and cross members under the treasure chest.c. doglegs both sides.d. inside the front wheel well tubs. e. front floor has been fiberglassed over so I assume rust holes were there. 4. The windshields are delaminating and show rust growing under the seals but we wanted to do safari windows there anyhow. That's everything we could tell for a full restoration project..... As I mentioned above, this VW can be driven now... restored later or perfect candidate for full restoration.
