Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 2000 Honda Accord EX Sedan. I am the second owner of this car. I purchased it used almost 10 years ago. It's been trusty and reliable, however I recently moved to Manhattan and keeping up with alternate side of the street parking is way too much stress for a car which I hardly ever drive. The EX is the Accord's top of the line model and features V6 3.0 liter engine, leather interior, sun roof/moon roof, power driver's seat and some add'l features which escape me at the moment. The CD player, power windows, mirrors, roof and AC all in perfectly working condition. No rips, stains or funny smells in the interior, and low considering it's age mileage of 123K miles. Aside from routine maintenance (breaks, oil change...etc) I have had very few issues with this car. The only repair work ever performed was replacing the alternator about 5 years ago. Of course with any car this age there are some issues which I've documented in the photos and will describe here; - I had a fender bender about 7 years ago. Being only minor damage I performed the repair work myself though it's admittedly not the most professional job. If you look at the detail photo you can see the driver's side rear panel is not exactly even. I did not have a sander at the time to smooth out the bonding material. However, once it was painted over it's hard to tell unless you know. Most people don't even notice it. - Hard to believe this could happen in NYC but a large tree limb recently fell on the rear of my car. I replaced the rear windshield however there are 2 small dents which I did not bother to repair - one on the thin metal strip between the rear windshield and rear drivers side window and another near the passenger side on the trunk. There are detail photos of both. The tree limb left small scratches/scuffing on the rear section of the car. They were not deep enough to photograph, and honestly a good waxing wood likely take them out. - SRS light is on. I've never been in a major accident or had the airbag deployed for any reason. Doing some googling this seems to be a common issue and any repair guy should be able to clear it. - Break light has been coming on intermittently. I can't tell you exactly how much life is left on them but you'll need to replace them sooner rather than later. The starting bid is the KBB trade-in value and the BIN price is their private sale value. I was very honest in describing the condition to come up with these values. I would like 1/3 up front and the remainder upon picking up the car. If you're the winning bidder I welcome you to inspect the car, take it for a drive, whatever... before making the final payment. Car is located in a nice area of downtown Manhattan. Take the train in, enjoy your day and drive the car out! Thanks for looking!
