This auction is for a true "barn find" 1969 Alfa Romeo Boattail Spider, also known as a "Duetto". This car is in very rough, but restorable shape. Lots of rust, but lots of solid metal as well. I pulled it out of a barn where it had set for over 30 years. Some parts had been robbed. Some of them I will include. What you see in the pictures is what you will get other than a top frame, which will also be included. Nothing else is included. There is NO TRUNK LID included in this sale. Other than what you see I don't know alot about the car. I believe the engine is locked up however I have not tried to free it. Something is wrong with the steering box as it will not steer the car. Underneath there is the normal rust that was bad with these cars such as the floorpan and rockers and other places as well. The subframe underneath looks pretty solid. The doors are very solid and include the glass. The hood looks pretty good as well. I am selling this car with NO RESERVE so the high bidder at the end of the sale will own it. I have the original 14" wheels that are in good condition but with no tires. Both sets will be included with the car. NOTE: This vehicle is being listed due to a non paying bidder. On Nov-03-14 at 06:08:23 PST, seller added the following information: A little more information about the condition of the body. I looked at the jacking points under the rocker on each side. The jacking points, or the metal rib that hangs down to jack from are solid front and back on both sides. In the rear the metal they are fastened to seems to be there and solid. In the front, the floor is gone right behind them as shown in the pictures so I'm not really sure how solid these would be to jack up the car. Many places on this car have been previously repaired but I have confirmed that it was done at least 25 years ago so the repairs should be fairly honest. The car sat in a barn for 25 or 30 years. The state tag on the car was a 1984 tag. The door jambs are very solid, the doors themselves are very solid.
