From what I can tell this was a 301 engine and it was replaced with a 400 that was recently rebuilt ( I have the receipt).It has 89,009 miles on it. The casting number is 500557, the date is C176 , the code is XS and the heads are 6X.Here is all the good things about the car,The car runs awesome and is very fast, It has T-Tops , Floor pans and trunk pans are in perfect condition , it has new battery, rebuilt alternator , new Edelbrock carburetor ( I have the receipt ), new rear shocks , rear wheel disc brakes ,posi rear , tires are like new, the snowflake rims looks like it was just painted , Interior original except for stereo modifications. This is a perfect little project while you drive and enjoy it.The only minor bad thing about this car is , the interior needs to be cleaned ,the dash has some cracks by the radio, someone did a bad paint job ( this is the original color) that is why the right rear quarter paint is cracking , the shifter was changed . I have nothing to hide about this car .It is still 34 year old car and it will be sold "AS IS" If you need additional pictures , please specify the area you need.
