Okay little car of the future. I work for Alford Motors and have listed this car, please feel free to ask any questions. I've driven this car about 150 miles and it's doing ok. The AC works well, factory CD player and radio work fine too. The passenger side door handle and window have a couple of issues, The door handle does not work from the outside, opens from the inside, and the window gets a little cockeyed when closing, it needs a little hand help. 2nd gear synchronizer is ok going up through the gears but when downshifting there's a snitch in the synchro. All gears are fine, tranny quiet, snowmobile engine fine. The IMA light has come on twice in the past two months, after the car sat for a week or two, I unhooked the twelve volt and currently the car is doing fine.... I'll know more tomorrow as I drive it up I-75 30 miles and back...charging system seems ok. The carpeting looks ok almost everywhere, but there's a rubber mat glued to the floor under the pedals and a wear hole where the driver's left foot rests.. The tires, all four, need replacing, slow leak in the right front. The autostop works as it should. The vehicle has an exhaust heat shield rattle.It has an interior odor that I describe as roasted coffee,,,,and when you turn on the AC / heater blower, the odor changes. All glass is good, the windsheild looks fine, seats are good, I'm driving it and can't believe how little these cars are worth. Fun cars, I feel like it's a front wheel drive Miata coupe. On Oct-28-14 at 13:12:35 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE UPDATED INFO UPDATE; I DROVE UP I-75 TODAY, AT 60 MPH THE CAR WAS DOING FINE, AT AROUND 65 MPH THE FRONT TIRES BEGAN TO SHIMMY, AS I WROTE ABOVE, IT NEEDS FOUR NEW TIRES, I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW OUT OF BALANCE THEY WERE AS I''D ONLY PUT IN CITY MILES ON THE CAR. THE OTHER THING THAT HAPPENED WAS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND IMA LIGHT CAME ON AND THE BATTERIES BEGAN TO DISCHARGE. I JUST RAN THE OBD SCAN AND GOT ONE CODE "POA7F" WHICH THE INSIGHT CENTRAL WEBSITE HAS TAUGHT ME THE HYBRID BATTERY PACK IS LOW. I HAVE NO GRID CHARGER NOR DO I KNOW HOW OLD THE BATTERY IS. THIS CAR IS TOO GOOD TO BE A PARTS CAR BUT I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THE STATUS, I'D HOPED TO PUT THIS UPDATE IN BEFORE ANY BIDS WERE RECEIVED BUT COULDN'T. Sir u seen a carfax on it? how many owners? sounds like fr.ends def.-out of allign. Tires toe-in or out? any tread left or bald, and unsafe? kno if ima been replaced? possibly could be charged with a grid charger,if not too old, or if hasnt sat 2 long!-if driving on highway under 65mph steady-sp.-does it drive ok? got idea if ok to possibly drive across state all-Highway miles 70 to w.va,-western md. area?...i and few friends own these even if ima has low cells at speeds over 45 seem best power wise...50-55 driven steady they seem to run ok if not pulling on 12v. which they do when ima is shot, after light comes on batt. will read full, and of course u can reset, and trick the computer into thinking its got a new 144v in back! long as its charging with regenerating,-brake assist,-etc.-any chance 2 avoid having to tow it...also wanted to ask if windows not put down does it stay up and flush? if not off track then not so bad!...Thanks for time and any addl. info.sir Here are my answers. No I have not seen a carfax on it. I don't know how many owners. Tread left? Not much, see picture, did I mention, ALL FOUR TIRES NEED REPLACING. If you bring your own front tires when you pick it up I believe it can be driven hundreds of miles.....otherwise, I suggest towing or putting it on a car hauler if you live more than a hundred miles from Cincinnati or wanna drive home under sixty miles an hour. It drives ok but I wouldn't dream of driving it to Maryland, the tires NEED REPLACING and that IMA light thing..... I've driven it around town fine, highway speed shimmy is no good. The window goes up and down, it needs to be snugged up by hand and seals fine. It gets a little crooked on the way up. AT THIS POINT IN THIS AUCTION I'D LIKE TO ADD,,,,, ON A PERSONAL LEVEL, I'VE BEEN AN EBAY MEMBER FOR MORE THAN A DECADE. I STARTED THIS, MY WORK MEMBER ACCOUNT A FEW YEARS LATER, AND NEVER, HAVE I RECEIVED SO MANY ODD QUESTIONS FROM SO MANY PEOPLE AS I HAVE ON THIS LISTING. I HOPE I'VE ANSWERED QUESTIONS APPROPRIATELY. I'VE DRIVEN THIS INSIGHT OFF AND ON FOR A FEW WEEKS, I DRIVE ANOTHER COUPLE OF INSIGHTS, I LOVE 'EM, THIS INSIGHT OFFERED FOR SALE ON EBAY IS A GOOD CAR BUT DRIVING IT FOR HUNDREDS OF MILES ON THE INTERSTATE WOULD BE TRICKY WITHOUT REPLACING THE (at least) FRONT TIRES.
