Vehicle Detail
End of the season BLOW OUT FALL PRICE !!!!! It won't be this cheap next Spring....when everyone wants to go cruising....in a truly great classic icon. DON'T MISS OUT !!!!! Last minute decision to sell. Once the snow flies it's packed away until next May. I will not take it out in the snow and salt for any test drives. NOTE: Some of the pics show the car with pin stripes. It no longer has them...they have all been removed. I have not done any of the work to this car. I bought it 2 yrs. ago as you see it. What info I have was passed on from the previous owner. With that said..... This is a 1955 Chevy BelAir 4-dr. sedan, with a 305 c.i. motor with 4-bbl carb and 700R4 automatic trans. out of a 1989 Chevy Caprice. It has duel exhaust with an "H" crossover pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. Power Steering, Power Brakes (front disk, rear drum), Tilt Wheel with 4 way flashers and original steering wheel. A Pioneer AM/FM Stereo/CD player with 4 speakers, 2 on the rear deck, and 2 mounted in a custom kick panel under the dash. All the gauges work along with the odometer. Speedometer works but is not accurate. Horn, turn signals, and all lights work. Has LED rear tail lights. Dome light did work when I bought it, but does not now...could be a fuse or bulb problem. New ignition switch installed this Summer. All the glass is in good condition with no cracks or cloudiness. Newer tinted windshield, all other glass looks to be original. Wipers worked at one time, now wiper motor skips, like there is a gear stripped or worn out. Have working original wiper motor to replace it with, you install. New seat covers, head liner, visors, and new door panels were installed in 2001. Was also painted in 2001. Has a few minor runs that you have to really look for to see them. Front and rear bumpers are in original condition, along with the grill. All other chrome and stainless steel trim in good to very good condition. Color coordinated seat belt were also added to the front and rear seats. Has 2" dropped front spindles, 3:55 rear end rears, a rear shock re-location bar. (original shocks were mounted to the trunk floor) All the floors are solid with no patches or rust holes, the same goes for the trunk. The inner rockers are rusty, but can't be seen, and do not effect the performance of the car or how other people see it. So don't get hung up on that issue. There have also been some new patch panels welded in around the rear fenders and headlight eye brows. Again...don't get hung up on these repairs, you couldn't tell they were there if I didn't tell you about them...just what to be honest here. It doesn't look like there was never any rust issues with the bottom of any of the doors. They look real nice and original. All the doors close nice and tight with no rattles. All the door handles and window cranks work the windows up and down real nice too. I've told you all I know about my nice looking '55 BelAir. For those of you who aren't familiar with the model levels of these Chevy's...the BelAir model was the "top of the line" model and therefore had more chrome and exterior trim. It's a great color combo that gets everyone giving a thumbs up. All the work on this car was done back in 2001 by a previous owner. When I had the pin stripes removed this Summer at a local body shop, they also gave the paint a complete buffing job. So it has a nice shine now. I also have the original Bill of Sale from the car dealership that the original owner bought it from, and a picture of the car before this "frame on" amateur restoration was done. Whoever did this....did it right though. Priced to sell with NO RESERVE. At the end of the Auction a deposit of $500.00 is required within 2 days, by Paypal or if you're local, by Cash. No Sales outside the USA, No Personal Checks, balance is due at pick up. Payment of cash is preferred if you come get it yourself. If you are having a transport company get it for you, then send a Certified Bank Check about 10 days before they are coming to get it. I will not let the car go until your check has cleared my bank. I don't care if the truck is waiting here to pick it up....no cash in hand....no car. Thanks you.....
