Vehicle Detail

1984 Chevrolet Corvette L98 5.7 Cross Fire Injection V8.163K Highway Miles Here is a Corvette I’ve owned for ten years and in all that time it has never let me down. The engine starts fine and runs smoothly at 163K with no leaks. The car features: Removable Top – with new headliner and no leaks, unless you aim a garden hose directly at the corners which will create a spritz on the inside of the glass. Air Conditioning – which is all there, but can benefit with a recharge. Power Steering – Just changed the rack and had the system completely flushed and new power steering fluid added. Power Brakes – Master cylinder swapped out a few years ago with a complete flush of the brake fluid. Power Windows – Both work, the driver’s window goes up a little slower than the passenger window. Power Seat – works just fine in all directions. Power Mirrors – Both mirrors work as they should in all directions. AM/FM Casette w/ EQ – The unit is out of an early nineties Oldsmobile with a plug in adopter to connect the later model radio with the earlier wiring. All connected together with no soldering. Tilt Wheel - Operates with no binding or sticking. Leather Interior – Seating areas and side bolsters on the seats are pretty well shot. The side door panel lower carpets are disintegrating as well. The dash top is in great shape with no cracks and the sun visors have been replaced with a pair from a newer model. Digital Dash – All the gauges are easy to read and operate as they should. The tachometer display was replaced about three years ago, now I’ve noticed that the speedometer is starting to wash out a bit. 4+3 Doug Nash 4 Speed Manual Transmission – Shifts well in all gears including reverse, the overdrive engages and operates as it should with no slipping or clunking and no leaks. The Good: Runs Strong, Idles Well, Shifts Great, Headlights operate as they should, all the lights work. Steering Rack & Tie Rod Ends done in 2012, Clutch & Throw-Out Bearing installed in 2008, Shocks were replaced in 2010, Lower Rear End Bushings replaced in 2013, Master Cylinder was replaced in 2008, Timing Chain & Water Pump were done in 2009, Valve Cover Gaskets & Oil Pan Gasket we replaced in 2005, The Battery was replaced in 2012, The IAC Valves and Fuel Injectors were done in 2010, The Plugs, Wires & Cap were also replaced in 2010. The Radiator was replaced in 2012 along with a Fuel Pump. The Coolant Temp Sensor, Anti-Knock Sensor & O2 Sensor were all done in the same year, 2011. Air & Fuel Filter were done in 2012. Goodyear Eagles are in good shape. The Bad: A/C needs a recharge, Needs Paint, Seat Covers need replacing along with the door carpets. Driver's power door lock sticks. Emergency brake works but the simple metal switch that operates the light on the dash decided to split in half, so the brake light on the dash doesn’t work without that switch being replaced. The windshield has a small haze spot emanating from the driver’s side “A” pillar. Also you really can't get a baby seat installed with the wife's approval . . . that's why I'm letting it go. What turned me on to this car was that it didn't have an after-market parts catalog thrown at it. No cheap wood grain, no chrome shift knob, this car is all business. I liked that more individuals would approach me at car shows asking what I had planned for it. I would always say the car is original and I was planning to keep it that way. The work it needs is mostly cosmetic . . . and not much, at that. $3250 Please email me or call for more information at 718-757-8491 Buyer please pay shipping. $500 deposit within 48 hours.
