THIS CAR NEEDS NOTHING TO BE A DAILY DRIVER! The car was purchased in 1978 as a repo with 8000 miles. (I have the dealer invoice). It was driven until 1997 by its owner who could no longer drive it due to medical reasons. It sat in dry storage for 16 yrs until he recently passed away and I purchased it with 52,000 miles as part of his estate in Sept 2013. I installed a new radiator ( still have the original which is repairable) , replaced right front brake caliper and a set of pads and flushed the entire brake system. I have changed the oil and filter twice , replaced both valve cover gaskets, and did some minor timing and carb adjustments. The car runs great and has been used almost daily since back on the road in April 2014. Everything seems to be all original with VIN and block having matching numbers. Only 2060 of 49213 produced in 1977 were equipped with the manual 4 speed. Only 4065 came with the Dark Blue exterior, add the white interior and this makes for a rare combination. This was an early production so it has the alarm on the exterior of the left front fender(it was moved inside on later models). Comes with removable T-tops. The car is almost 40 years old, is all original so it does show some wear. The exterior shines nice and is a "10 footer". Paint has some fading and cracking. The body is solid with no damage. Front tires had 2000 miles on them when it was parked in 1997. The rear tires have minimal life left and will need to be replaced in the future. The interior is all there and in good shape. Both armrests are slightly worn and if you want it to look new, both interior door panels would need to be replaced. Carpet is worn in the footwells. Rear storage compartment trim needs to be replaced. Clock does not work but is an easy repair/replace. Speakers work but should be replaced. Both mufflers are showing some deterioration and will need to be replaced at some point. The AC compressor is locked up and I'm not sure what it would need to be repaired ( its more fun to drive with the T-tops off anyway). The motor runs well and the clutch and transmission have no issues.The frame is solid and has no structural issues. Everything else on the car is there and in great shape. Multiple internet sites list a 1977 base corvette $10,000-$13,000. With the condition, low miles, 4 spd ,and color combinations in mind, I believe this car would fall towards the higher end. My reserve price is extremely fair and this would be a great buy for someone who wants to get in and drive and maybe fix the minor cosmetic stuff as you enjoy it.. I'm trying to be as honest and descriptive as I can. This a great car and fun to drive as is. It is not a show car ( I have taken it to a couple shows ,though). The items needed to bring to like new condition are not expensive and available from most of the corvette catalogs. Please contact me with any questions I did not address.
