In our 38 years of being in the classic and muscle car business we never had a car anything like this one. Powered by a 371 c.i. 265 h.p. Rocket V8 that is coupled to an automatic Hydramatic transmission. It has power steering, power brakes, factory AM radio, power operated top, four new Coker proper width white wall tires and full wheel covers. This beautiful Oldsmobile has undergone an extensive body on restoration resulting in a definite show car appearance. The owner at the time of the restoration requested a custom two tone red and white finish and it really brings out a fabulous classic look to this car. Just look at the pictures we have submitted. The interior has been restored and remains in excellent condition. All the chrome and bright work has either been replaced or restored and greatly contributes to this Oldsmobile as there is an abundance of it on the car. Under the hood has been restored and has show quality appearance as well. The top is white vinyl and is again in excellent condition and a boot is also included. Recently there has been some mechanical replacements done to improve the road ability of this Oldsmobile. A partial list includes: new tie rods, idler arm, shock absorbers and ball joints.Talk about rarity, this is it. How many have you seen in the past years let alone one that is for sale in such excellent condition. The odometer shows 91,688 but can't be confirmed as records dating for a vehicle this old were never kept. Included with the sale of this Oldsmobile is the owners manual and some original documents. The paperwork shows the car was sold new at Rector Motor Co. of Burlingame, California and we believed it remained there until 2002 when it was sold to a collector located in Orchard Lake, Michigan. Due to it being from the west rust is not an issue. This 1959 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 was a premium model for Oldsmobile and could have very well been made right here in Lansing, Michigan.
