Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1985Chevy Rollback. It's been a good reliable truck and I've used it a few times per week moving jeeps around, for the last year.i would be keeping it but, the amount I use it doesn't justify the cost of maintaining it and insuring it. It's inspected until 12/2014, I just had it on a 250 mile round trip with a jeep on the back and it never missed a beat. Engine is a 350 that runs good. Small puff of smoke at startup, but always starts, leaks or uses no oil. Rebuilt Edelbrock 4 barrel.SM 465 4speed, shifts good clutch feels strong.Drives straight, goes good loaded or empty.Stops good. New front pads. Was just re painted 3 months ago. Installed 2 rust free doors, a rust free hood, replaced rockers and cab corners.Cab is solid, very small rust spots in floors I haven't got to. New windshield, Lund visor Frame is solid. It's not rusty, and there are no weak or repairs spots that I know of. Interior- bench seat is ripped but still comfortable. All gauges work except speedometer. Wipers horn and heat work. Lights work. Factory radio works. Blower only works on low. Bed is an Aluminum 17' Made by Holmes/DoverAll functions work. There are no leaks. Most hoses have been replaced. There is a tow bar, that needs a control cable to work. The bed is controlled by cables that connect to the hydraulic valve, the cables are stretched and should be replaced, the controls could be a pain sometimes. The headache rack needs a few broken welds fixed. The latch mechanism on the bed needs to be modified. Sometimes the bed won't catch if there is alot of weight toward the rear. The winch is pretty slow. The bed slides smooth and pivot points are tight. Trying to be totally honest about it. Here's what I know it still needs, I'm pretty competent with a wrench so I'm fairly certain the list it's pretty much it. Emergency brake cables- New ones includedThrottle Lock to keep RPM up while using bed- includedCarrier Bearing on driveshaft.Passenger side control arm bushings.Driver front rotorSway bar bushings- includedMotor mountAmber lights wired upClearance lights on cabQuieter mufflers ( glass packs now)Tires have good tread and hold air 4 of 6 have dry cracks. I have clean title in my name.I believe I'm the 3rd owner. It's really on it's way to being a great truck. I have way more invested than my opening bid. I wouldn't hesitate driving this home, although your going to be max speed 60 mph w/ the 4.10 gears.Surprisingly decent on gas around 17MPG.10000GVWNo real idea on mileage. Speedo/ Odometer don't work.79 k on odometer but I really don't know how long it hasn't worked.I put about 15k miles on it without trouble. I would like immediate Contact after winning or clicking buy it now.Deposit due immediate after auction ends. Will work with shipper but arrangements are up to buyer.I'm happy to answer any questions. Thank You
