Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a head-turningly beautiful 1969 Camaro RS. This is NOT a perfect car or a show car. The numbers do NOT match. It is however, a clean, nice driver. It is a REAL RS. · LOW original miles: 57,641· NICE condition· GREAT driver - starts right up, drives straight and smooth· Rebuilt 350 - estimated around 2,000 miles since rebuild The car went through a partial frame-off restoration in 2003. My wife and her father lovingly restored the car inside and out at that time. Since then, it has been stored in a garage or at times under a car cover. Now it is time to give the car a new home where someone will enjoy it more often. Join me on a video walkaround and startup of the car! 2003 Restoration Details:· Body work with all OEM GM parts: new door skins, new metal around rear quarters, at least one front fender, some body repairs done with filler· New paint in 2003- black with white racing stripes(originally yellow with black vinyl top)· Rebuilt 350 4-bolt main installed in 2003 (originally a 307)· Larger high-performance cam installed (size unknown)· 2-barrel carb but ready for a 4-barrel· Converted from manual to auto (now 350 turbo tranny, was a 4-speed Saginaw)· New upholstery, carpet, headliner, shifter, center console and other interior parts· Aftermarket stereo and speakers added· All new brakes and practically all of front-end (body mounts, a-frame bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints, etc.)· New master cylinder· Power steering added· Spoiler added· Heat controller replaced· Various other parts replaced Other Details:· No AC· 10-bolt rear end (not posi)· Dual exhaust Imperfect Things:· Iowa title has a designation of "Prior Salvage" and we do not know why. The vehicle was disassembled and changed hands in such manner at least two times before being restored. My father-in-law found no indication of significant damage or prior damage while restoring. Frame is straight and it drives straight and true. We tried to research with the State of Iowa as to when the designation was applied and their records do not go back that far.· Paint has good sheen and overall looks nice, however upon close inspection you can find imperfections (please see photos and ask if you have any doubts)· Some bubbles starting in paint, mainly on roof and rear deck· Various imperfections in paint (see photos)· Some minor dings and scratches here and there· Exhaust is rusty and could be replaced for an easy improvement· Paint has flaked on valve cover· Hideaway headlights work to open only. Needs adjustment to work properly. Optional purchase: For $500, you may have all the original Saginaw 4-speed parts I have. Pickup is your responsibility, along with the car. I do not have the original motor and do not have any info on its whereabouts. While not a show car, this is still a beautiful piece of history to be appreciated by someone looking for a nice driver. It certainly turns heads and gets tons of compliments everywhere it goes. SEE MY 100% PERFECT FEEDBACK HISTORY. Click here for 61 hi res images of the Camaro.
