My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honstly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1988 Volvo 745. The Volvo 740 series represented a transision of Volvo as a brand. A ridiculous amount of research went into every inch of these cars to provide an automobile that offered an upscale driving experience without compromising reliability and safety. There is a documentary (I think you can see it on youtube) on the development of this car that will blow your mind. In modern times, we tend to think of these cars as boxy and dated...but there are things under the skin in these cars that were decades ahead of their time. These cars are the ones that gave Volvo the reputation it has been coasting on for the last decade or so. Anyways, I would rate the exterior of this 745 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The truth is that these cars are getting hard to find. As you can see, this one has been pretty well cared for. Walking around the exterior, you'll find a few imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. There is a small dent in front of the fuel filler door. The paint is a little faded on the sunroof. Otherwise, there really isn't much bad to say. The gold finish shows well all around. The body is straight as an arrow. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. Even the power rear antenna works! The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a good set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Volvo is. I would rate the interior of this Volvo to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels show well for their age. The carpets are clean and also show well. The leather seats show a little age but are in good shape considering they are 26 years old. The dash and headliner are clean. The power windows, power mirrors and central locks work. The sunroof seems jammed and may need adjusted or just have the slides cleaned to work properly. The most worst I can say about the interior is that the lever to adjust the temperature for the climate control seems to be not moving and it is stuck all the way to the left so you may want to look into that before it gets too cold outside. The stereo is original and sounds good. The cargo area is spacious and clean. This 745 is equipped with a third row seat, too. Again, please look at each of the photos carefully to see how nice this old Volvo is. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.3L four cylinder engine starts easily and runs smothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The Volvo 2.3L four cylinder is one of the most simple and reliable engines ever made. It is derived from a Volvo tractor engine and carried a 17 year warranty in Europe. She isn't exactly a race car but she'll run and run and run. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The suspension feels good. The brakes and steering feel good, too. The enigne keeps proper temperature and feels strong. The fuel gauge works when it wants to and the speedometer does not work (the odometer does work). The only warning light on is for a tail light out. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all the gears. The electronic overdrive works properly. If you're looking for a trusty old wagon, there is nothing better than a Volvo. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honstly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1988 Volvo 745. The Volvo 740 series represented a transision of Volvo as a brand. A ridiculous amount of research went into every inch of these cars to provide an automobile that offered an upscale driving experience without compromising reliability and safety. There is a documentary (I think you can see it on youtube) on the development of this car that will blow your mind. In modern times, we tend to think of these cars as boxy and dated...but there are things under the skin in these cars that were decades ahead of their time. These cars are the ones that gave Volvo the reputation it has been coasting on for the last decade or so. Anyways, I would rate the exterior of this 745 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The truth is that these cars are getting hard to find. As you can see, this one has been pretty well cared for. Walking around the exterior, you'll find a few imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. There is a small dent in front of the fuel filler door. The paint is a little faded on the sunroof. Otherwise, there really isn't much bad to say. The gold finish shows well all around. The body is straight as an arrow. The hood, doors and tail gate all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. Even the power rear antenna works! The alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a good set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this Volvo is.
I would rate the interior of this Volvo to also be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels show well for their age. The carpets are clean and also show well. The leather seats show a little age but are in good shape considering they are 26 years old. The dash and headliner are clean. The power windows, power mirrors and central locks work. The sunroof seems jammed and may need adjusted or just have the slides cleaned to work properly. The most worst I can say about the interior is that the lever to adjust the temperature for the climate control seems to be not moving and it is stuck all the way to the left so you may want to look into that before it gets too cold outside. The stereo is original and sounds good. The cargo area is spacious and clean. This 745 is equipped with a third row seat, too. Again, please look at each of the photos carefully to see how nice this old Volvo is.
Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.3L four cylinder engine starts easily and runs smothly. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The Volvo 2.3L four cylinder is one of the most simple and reliable engines ever made. It is derived from a Volvo tractor engine and carried a 17 year warranty in Europe. She isn't exactly a race car but she'll run and run and run. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The suspension feels good. The brakes and steering feel good, too. The enigne keeps proper temperature and feels strong. The fuel gauge works when it wants to and the speedometer does not work (the odometer does work). The only warning light on is for a tail light out. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all the gears. The electronic overdrive works properly. If you're looking for a trusty old wagon, there is nothing better than a Volvo. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Winning Bidders:

Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyer we can issue a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $39 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance.
