They bought it new in Pasadena, California at Rusnkl Porsche. The 912 has always been well cared for & garaged since the beginning. It remain a secondary car for the owners and mostly driven around town. The primary car was a 911S. About 15 years, the owner had a stroke and could barley drive anymore. It was only driven on short trips the last decade or so, covered in the garage. All Numbers Matching with original drive train. Remains a one owner vehicle since October of 1976, 38 years. Only has traveled 89k original miles. Fully documented with all original booklets/ warranty & maintenance, registrations since 1977 till current, a hand written letter from the original owner & brochures from the dealer. Factory Special Color Light Yellow with dealer Black trimming and sport mirrors. Rare factory Sunroof / power windows with black interior. The 912E has always been in Los Angeles with it's original California Blue plates. An excellent example of a True California Porsche. Solid & original pans, inner wells, trunk pan & body panels. Was repaint end the same color 10 years ago, Light Yellow. Very straight body, with original panels. The interior is very original and shows its been garaged over the years. Still has the factory Blaupunkt radio with factory Blaupunkt equalizer & remote. The factory sunroof is still in working condition as long with the power windows, remote mirror, all lights & radio (clock not working). The original 2.0 Liter is in excellent running condition. The owner mention in 10 years, it has only been driven about 2k miles. They redid the clutch, fuel pump & brakes about a 8 years ago he also mention. Has always pass smog emissions, no major problems. The clutch, brakes handles well. Cruising on the freeway, not sluggish. Overall, this is an original 76' Porsche that has never been advertised, owned by the original owners since new. A beautiful example of an California 912E. Will be hard to see another that is documented and remains stock.
