Hello to all ebayers, PLEASE READ..... ******ATTENTION!!!!******For an EXTENSIVE COLLECTION of CURRENT PICTURES ((74))!!!, PLEASE CLICK on the link below****** PLEASE READ..... http://my.tidewater.net/~kitti/Z28Camaro .....up for your consideration and/ or bid is yet another vehicle out of my 30 year+ collection. This one being a 1981 Chevrolet Z28 T-Roof Camaro Coupe, 2-Door 5.7L 350 Auto, Air Induction that's an all original sports car that came threw from the factory with a decent list of options and "creature comforts". Before I get to the long list of good things about the Z28,...I first want to mention that the Z28 is currently not a "tun-key-driver" and will need some work. The former owner I purchased the Z28 from in 1999 lost the ignition and trunk keys, so those need replacing to start. Their are some spots on the brake lines that look rusted/ pitted pretty bad and need replacing. Also, the last owner before me unbolted the exhaust manifolds from the heads ((and lost the bolts)) with the intention of dismantling the whole Z28 and completely restoring it,...but that plan fell threw early on after discovering his girlfriend was pregnant, and decided to sell to me. Lastly, the Z28 needs a battery and a battery box. Now a long list of the good things about the Z28! First of all the Z28 is a REAL Z28!!!,.....not a clone, recreation, tribute or any other fake name!!! Is all original (except the stereo?), has never been in an accident, not all rusted out or chopped/ butchered!!! The Z28 came threw from the factory with A/C, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, T-Roof, Factory Tachometer, Rear Defrost, Center Console and Bucket Seats that I know of,...and still the original "dummy-spare" tire in the trunk, see pics! The engine ran excellent and burned no oil ((the mileage being original)) when last started 5 years ago with a hand-held portable starter device. Although last started in '08-'09,....I kept the engine turned over approximately every 12-14 months,...having last turned the engine over in July of 2014 and the motor turns over freely, no problems. Like everything in my collection, everything has been in long term storage. The underneath of the Z28 is excellent to outstanding regards to the floorboards, floor braces, sub-frame and all under carriage sheet metal,...(some surface rust at most). The only EXCEPTION is the passenger side rocker panel and the rear bumper/ pan-tin (UNDER the trunk floor). The trunk floor is excellent, it's the tin piece UNDER the floor that's rusted and this seems to be extremely common with most all F-bodies of this era!!! The T-roof glass is excellent with no scratches or gouges and removal and installation is a "breeze", only one defect is the drivers side handle is broke and needs replacing, I tried pliers and it latches and un-latches with ease. *****PLEASE NOTE*****.....that the air induction "flapper" is fully free and totally functional,...has never been rusted or seized shut!!! For those uninformed,...this flapper is at the rear of the hood scoop facing the windshield and operates when the engine is running to draw in fresh air,...especially when the throttle is at half or full throttle! Overall the Z28 is an excellent candidate for a mild restoring and will make a nice "set-of-wheels" for someone at very reasonable starting price for an '81 Z28 T-Roof car,.....probably the best starting price on ebay with NO RESERVE,...finally the Z28 is free-rolling 100% and will load with ease. I've stated all that I know about this Z28 as factual as possible. Due to the age and amount of sitting for years, this Z28 does not come with any guarantees or warranties expressed or implied and is sold as is where is. For the winning bidder I offer FREE delivery BUT only if you are local and/or up to only 20 miles away. If you are 21-100 miles from the Z28 I offer delivery for a fee of $1.00 per mile. I do not offer any delivery options over 100 miles and I certainly do not offer any long haul options from state to state either. Any winning bidder that is in the "over 100 mile category" it is up to you to make shipping arrangements and of course all transportation and shipping costs are the expense of you...(the winning high bidder). At my discretion, I may extend the free delivery from 21-100 miles if the Z28 reaches a dollar amount I deem acceptable. Should you use your own trailer/equipment to pickup the Z28,...I offer FREE loading assistance to you with my Rollback and equipment,...or I'll assist the carrier of your choice (should you hire one),...also FREE of charge. PLEASE NOTE;...the state of Maine does not/will not issue a title for ANY automobile/vehicle of 1995 and prior. I do not have a title and the Z28 comes with a bill-of-sale as ownership. ADDITIONAL NOTE;...some states will not accept a bill-of-sale as ownership of a vehicle,...please check with your individual state. FOR THOSE PERSPECTIVE BIDDERS THAT FIT INTO THIS LAST CATEGORY,...please let me know and I can contact the state of Maine and they will issue a legal document so that you can take this paperwork to YOUR state DMV you reside in and YOUR STATE will issue you a new title in your state. I've done this may of times before and to my knowledge this is the only perfectly legal way for bidders from title-demanding states to get a title for a vehicle from a non-title issuing state. I believe the pictures speak for them self, and what doesn't I've included in the description,........if you feel I have missed anything or you have any questions what so ever, please feel free to send me an email and I'll answer the question(s) asap. Upon the completion of the auction I ask that the winning bidder to commit to the transaction with payment in the form of a $200.00 deposit within 48 hours. I also ask that the high bidder follow-up with full payment in 7 days, or contact me for additional time if needed. If you have no intent of following threw with the complete payment of the auction item, please just don't bid and waste everyone's time playing games,...any non paying bidders will be reported to both ebay and all 3 major credit reporting agency's. As always,...UNDERCARRIAGE PICTURES ARE ALWAYS posted for perspective bidders/ buyers!!! ********KEEP WATCH,...a lot of interesting older ANTIQUE/CLASSIC AUTOS (1949-1985) coming in the next several weeks/months,...ALL of which will start with a modest starting price with NO HIDDEN RESERVE!!!******** .....thanks for looking, Bob.. ******ATTENTION EBAYERS!!!!******FOR A WHOLE COLLECTION OF RECENT PICTURES ((74 TOTAL)) PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS DESCRIPTION!!!****** On Aug-02-14 at 15:36:47 PDT, seller added the following information:
