Vehicle Detail

This is an exceptional truck!!! You are looking at a 1997 Ford E250 that is in nearly perfect condition!. I drove this vehicle for two and half years part time. I made a deal with my ex boss that I would spend my own money to improve it and when I drove ( part time) this was the only truck I would drive. A couple months ago he got out of the business and sold it to me. Not being and ISP I can’t drive something I own. When you consider this vehicle keep in mind that you are bidding on a highly evolved Package Delivery System. While it would be easy for you to think of this as a “Delivery Truck” it is much much more than that!!! You may be thinking ... a ’97 is old.. but if you keep up the maintenance it could go another 150,000 miles! Take a minute - you’ll come to see that this vehicle has a lot of features that you simply can’t find on any other delivery vehicle regardless of the year or the price! This vehicle has be customized to make it an exceptional delivery vehicle... NEW: 1. In excellent nearly new- 1997 Ford F250 Cargo Van. 2. Low milage - 168,000 miles 3. Lots of new stuff a. Apple I-Pad Min with Active Google Maps Software (in mix mode... allows you to see in the dark) Don't Miss out on this opportunity!!!!!!! (45 degrees to the rear) If you have the need to deliver ANYTHING on a regular basis or if you just need and impressive truck for your own business ... this truck is impressive in many areas. They don’t have to be FedEx packages either. Removing the FedEx stickers is easy. Just get a hair dryer, heat the stickers up and they come off. As a point of order, if you aren’t associated with FedEx, I’ll require them be removed. Prior to this vehicle being put into the FedEx fleet. it was owned by a company that installed hard wood floors. It’s only been in the FedEx fleet the last four years and to my knowledge it has never had any collision repair. It drives exceptionally well, no rattles and in fact most of the time I’m not aware that I’m driving a truck at all! Seats are new, cabin is carpeted including the wall separating the cargo along with the floor. It’s very quite in the cabin at highway speeds or any speed for that matter. Man you should hear the stereo! Excellent MPGFedEx ISP’s should consider what it costs to deliver a package in terms of fuel per package. At 22 MPG on the highway and 14 in city no big truck can deliver a package at a lower cost. I’m including the Scan Disk Vehicle Monitoring System so you can get this milage as well. There are 16 different things you can monitor with this system including, speed, throttle position, distance to empty, exact fuel costs on a daily basis in dollars, RPM, Voltage etc. It will also let you read engine trouble codes and reset the check engine light as well! Just in time for the Christmas/ end of the year rush!. New temporary drivers can get up to speed delivering higher number of packages quite quickly. In fact with the I-Pad Google navigation it’s impossible to get lost in this vehicle! The “Blue” dot indicates your current position... Type in or speak the next delivery location and it will be marked with a red marker. It will even tell you the turn by turn directions. I use to run pick-up routes ... taking excess packages from the regular drives and would end up running 3 different cities in the same day... Never knew where I would be going... Actually didn’t matter... with this rig I could find anything quickly. ABSOLUTELY NO BLIND SPOTS... That’s a statement that you don’t hear... cause the fact is that every vehicle has places you can see.. EXCEPT this vehicle has 5 video cameras and three 7” monitors which show both sides and the rear all at the same time. Literally you can walk completely around this vehicle or drive around this truck and from the drivers seat you will see the person or vehicle without having to hit a single button! There are 5 video cameras. 1. Rear narrow (like on most delivery trucks) good for backing up to a dock. 2. Wide rear 3. Front passenger side "cornering camera" (lets you get close to parked cars, building, posts and never hit them. 4. Passenger diagonal (45 degrees to the rear) 5. Drivers side diagonal rear (45 degrees to the rear). Bold's indicate the default monitor settings. Each monitor can handle 2 camera inputs. Extra cameras are engaged for specialized situations. Logical layout - Top right monitor is for the drivers side, then their is a space, for seeing traffic lights close by, next is the Garmin GPS, where you would normally expect to find the rear view mirror is where the rear monitor is located and finally next to that on the right side is the right hand diagonal monitor. Side monitors could be turned off but when not in use, and activated with the turn signal switch, but in practical use having them on all the time is the way to go. Nobody sneaks up on you that way. Talk about safe.. Things get even more impressive at night. With the extra IR source.. you can practically see as well behind the vehicle at night as you do during the day!... Switch the “mix” mode on the I-Pod mapping program and you see the over head satellite “daytime” view with the streets superimposed on top. In fact this thing is so slick you don’t need street signs or address numbers on the houses! Delivering at night is almost as fast as delivering durning the day even in unfamiliar areas! I’m not pulling your leg - this is the ultimate delivery vehicle!! Sure I like driving new vehicles... but in so many ways this is BETTER than anything else on the road. This Truck will spoil you. Eventually the multi camera vehicle Situational Awareness System will eventually be on all the vehicles in the future. Once you drive a rig like this you become a super driver. You can drive with confidence and knowing what is going around you all the time makes you much safer and your confidence and speed improves drastically. Because of this vehicle, I adopted a “Point-To- Point” delivery style. Absolutely, I did not drive a single mile more than is necessary to deliver each package. That means that if the next package is actually located in the opposite direction it only takes me 15 seconds to reverse direction... It’s very fast and because I can see everything- it’s also SAFE. You have to experience it to understand what I’m talking about. Driving my personal car was such a let down so I eventually installed a multi camera system on it as well utilizing what I learned from this vehicle. There’s a lot of concepts that FedEx Corporate could learn from this vehicle. And if you are an ISP... the price of this vehicle is worth just the information you can learn and incorporate in your other fleet vehicles. No matter what the size ... everything I did with this vehicle can be done to the big box vehicles and they would be faster and safer as a result! It took me 2.5 years and thousands of packages to refine this system... Why reinvent the wheel? It works and it’s affordable and proven. AN AMAZING ARRAY OF ADDITIONAL FEATURES! There is a back-up alarm (switchable) which automatically comes on as you go into reverse. Two large reflective triangular signs on both of the rear doors. During the day I often open one or both to give a visual sign that the truck is not moving while running a package on a heavy traveled road. When you are delivering a package instead of locking the truck, I hit a remote control on my belt which activates the alarm. If anyone tries to drive off - the horn honks and the lights flash! The best thing about it is its faster than locking the vehicle and it doesn’t wear out the key, the locks or the starter/battery with too frequent operations. Night Rider. Ask any driver ...they all hate to work in the dark. I’ve mastered working in the dark and this truck has many systems specifically with that in mind. Utilizing the included Garmin Nuvi GPS you can punch in the address... just a few key strokes - its amazingly fast, then when the sun goes down I shift to the Apple Ipad Mini Google GPS system. It’s conveniently mounted just to the right of the steering wheel. A blue dot shows you where the truck is and if you punch in the address, or if you like just put on the head set - (also supplied) and you and speak in the address. A red flag is dropped at the next delivery address. It literally lets you see at night... shapes of driveways, layout of yards, types of roofs. Just “push” the blue dot till it is even with the red pin and you are there! 80% of the time I shine the spot light just to verify the address. Now here’s a very slick feature... My routes have been city, suburbs and far out country. When you get into to country... it gets really dark at night. This is extremely handy when working Christmas Rush. Like it or not... you are going to end up working after sunset. I'm also including my favorite "head worn light". At almost $50 bucks is worth the cost. Focusable in the front, where the on off switch is. Then on the rear of the strap is the battery compartment and dimmer. fits over your hat if you like and is balanced front to back. No tripping over stuff you don't see and the dimmer allows the batteries to run longer. You can usually read the house number from the road in (spot mode). Making 90 degree turns on dark country roads is scary. Turning onto a dark roads means you are literally driving into the dark. NO PROBLEM. Just switch on the cornering lights and turns are illuminated as well straight ahead driving. Included is also a 950 lumen spot light. The dome lights in trucks are way too bright for reading “Turn by Turn directions” and kill your night vision. So the cabin LED lighting system can be switched to red/ blue or 16 other colors including white. Go with a blue... dim it down just right and you can read your turn by turns without affecting your night vision. Also the cargo bay has an amazing amount of light via a second LED ceiling lighting system. Finding any package is easy if you have enough light ... In fact the whole ceiling lights up so there is no shadows. Working in the dark isn’t bad if you have the right tools. Everything is included: Head light for your head, spot light, lunch box, markers, extra keys, remotes for the vehicle alarm , DOT Safety Triangles 3x, Fire extinguisher, blue tooth head set with noise canceling mic, Apple I-pad Mini/ with GPS 16GB, Internet, Google mapping connected with the AT&T system. A vehicle maintenance log, markers, paper tows and holder, even 5 Sharpies for marking your packages a spare battery and tow truck - 20ft Heavy duty Jumper system (stored next to the passenger’s side of the engine compartment.) Not only lets you jump start other trucks, but once a week I let the truck’s alternator top off the spare battery. You can even jump start yourself with this second, 100 month 1000 CCA battery! Besides that nobody will steal your jumper cables... Unless they have a tow truck.. LOL Fully serviced Truck. The oil has been changed, transmission fluid changed, windshield fluid is full of Rain Ex Bug cleaner, the snow tires are installed on the rear, all season tires on the front, all fluids were changed, brakes, front end work, AND even topped off with 35 gallons of fuel! At highway speeds you could travel 6-700 miles! ... All you need to do is load it up and start delivering packages in style!. In closing: This vehicle is ready to drive from KC to anywhere in the USA including Alaska!. You can fly in to MCI airport - I’ll pick you up and you can enjoy the drive back to your home town. As a special note: I'm allowing you 1 week to complete this transaction. So if you are going to bid on this vehicle you need to be willing to complete paying for it and take possession on or before Saturday, October 11 at 4PM, 2014. Thanks for your interest in my amazing FedEx Concept Vehicle. Good bidding. Ex FedEx Home Delivery Driver,
