Vehicle Detail
This bike is relisted on Ebay because the person who won the previous auction vanished and never paid. This is a beautiful 1979 Suzuki GS750EN that is road-ready. I bought this bike about 3 years ago and it has been garage kept ever since. It starts, runs and stops great. I hate to sell it, but I have too many bills. This bike is a real conversation piece. Every time I ride it I get compliments from the public. To my knowledge, it's pretty close to original except for new paint, exhaust, seat upholstery and the front master cylinder which the previous owner installed. The paint is black base with clearcoat. It has micro multi-colored metal flake that is only visible in bright sun. The paint job is about a 9 out of 10. There is one hairline scratch in the clearcoat about 1/4" long that is barely noticable on the left rear of the tank. It's so small the photos will not show it. The tank and side cover emblems are brand new OEM Suzuki. The seat I'm told was professionally recovered, but appears to have a new metal seat pan as well. It is very nice with no rips, tears or rust on the pan. The seat padding appears to be about 1/2" lower than stock. The wiring is unmolested, and all lights, signals and horn work perfect. It has a gear indicator light that also works great. Electric and kick starter work fine. Instruments are clear with no fogging and a working backlight. Tach and speedometer operate fine. There is no rust on this bike that I can see. 1979 was the last year for this classic with the factory 140mph speedometer, round headlight and signals, and a chrome front fender. Below are some other notable features: New paint on tank, side covers, and tail, new Suzuki OEM tank and side-cover emblems, new Interstate battery, new muffler (tailpipe) scratch and rust free, new fork oil, new air filter, fresh engine oil and oil filter, front brake pads almost new, rear pads about 1/2 worn, carbs recently cleaned and synched, front brake calipers appear to have been rebuilt (they are very clean and shiny behind the boots), new petcock fuel and vacuum lines, Continental tires with plenty of tread and no dry rotting, chain and sprockets in excellent condition. Tank is clean inside. Bike has 15,985 miles. Clear Tennessee title in MY name. You might want to add a right mirror. It didn't have one when I bought it. The after-market front master cylinder installed by the previous owner does have female threads for the mirror. The exhaust is louder than stock, but it sounds great. Very throaty sound. The muffler has 3 phillips head screws on the end which will remove the baffle. If you desire, you could easily remove and wrap the baffle with fiber to quiet her down a little. The tires look great, but I'm not sure how old they are. They were on the bike when I bought it. No visible cracking on the sidewalls. Engine does not smoke or burn oil. I will include a Service Manual DVD with the bike. I have attached 20 photos for you to scroll through. Double-click on the first photo and you will see the entire photo gallery. I'm an honest seller with a 100% feedback rating. I have disclosed all that I know about this bike. Why spend $10k or more on a new bike that looks like everyone else's? This bike is unique. It is a vintage low-mileage classic survivor and a real conversation piece. Ready for your Fall riding pleasure! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. NO RESERVE. Good luck bidding! TERMS OF SALE: Sorry, but If you have an Ebay feedback score less than (5) you must contact me before bidding. Othewrwise, I will cancel your bid. Winning bidder must pay a $250.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit through Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Remaining balance must be received via certified check within 72 hours of auction end. Do not send the full payment amount through Paypal without contacting me first. Serious bidders only, please! Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. I will assist your shipper, but I'm unable to lift the bike and will not ride it up a narrow ramp onto a pickup truck. I would advise you to make sure your shipper is insured/bonded. Seller is not responsible for shipping damage and/or costs. Bike or title will not be released until all funds clear bank. I have a clear Tennessee title in my name and will also provide you with a Bill of Sale if requested. Seller reserves the right to end auction early. Thank you.
