Vehicle Detail

This is my own personally owned Land Cruiser. No odors, non smoking owners of this original Land Cruiser. I am the second owner. Previously owned by local doctor, purchased locally new and serviced at same local Toyota Store, and so service history is available thru Toyota. If you are looking for a very original Series 80 Land Cruiser, this is it. I have already purchased a newer Land Cruiser that my wife wanted and so I must sell. In so many ways, it is not as nice as this one. I have owned approx. two years, and have owned Toyotas since 1970. I installed hitch as doctor had no need to tow, I have towed only a few times my light boat and utility trailer. Recent replacement of Emu Old Man steering stabilizer and 4 new orig equip Tokico shocks in 2014, new radiator, radiator hoses, valve cover gasket, pan gasket, front engine seal, timing belt, water pump, red Toyota Coolant, brake fluid, synthetic power steering fluid, full synthetic Mobil 1 engine oil Sept 2014 and changed in 2014 to new synthetic oil in automatic transmission, synthetic in front and rear differentials and synthetic in transfer case. Michelin tires are new in 2011 and show little wear (see pictures). I would go any where in this vehicle. A/C blows cold, audible with flashing blue light Viper Alarm, I installed new Alpine Bluetooth radio with CD player, new Ultra Sylvania driving low beams. This has the usual wear you would expect on a 17 year old Land Cruiser, and everyone that sees it comments on what a great looking vehicle this is. It drives great, tracks straight, stops straight. Bid with confidence, please notice my 100% buyer rating for more than 10 years on eBay on similar items. Bid early, as two bids at the same price the early bid will prevail. I set the price at $12,900 buy now as several have sold for more in the past few weeks and this one may sell for less than $12,900. Must be sold as is due to age and mileage. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I have had good luck with U-Ship, you can find their website to get a quote from Eugene, Oregon, 97405. Call me at (541)941-4856 if you have any questions or want to see the LC before the end of the auction. Again, bid with confidence and please bid early as two bids at the same amount, the early one will prevail. On Sep-28-14 at 22:06:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Specifications As Listed1997 Toyota Land Cruiser 40th Anniversary editionMSRP: $48,790 in 1997 - $72,000 in 2014MPG: 13 over many miles, aggressive driving or sedate…doesn't matter. The vehicle is normally operated in the "high" position. This LC automatically is "locked" when you move the transfer case from "high" to the "low" position. It does not have the switch to "lock" when in the "high" position. This LC has from the factory, has a wire behind the knock out in the dash, with the factory hook up wire already there. All that is necessary is to buy the switch ($105.00), knock out the blank in the dash and install the wire. I copied the following from a website detailing this mod "To override the default behavior of the center diff lock, you need a center diff lock switch. The wiring harness for the switch is already present in the US 80 Series, which makes installation easy by removing the dash bezel to access the plug. The automatic behavior is that the center diff will be engaged (and ABS disengaged) when Low Range is engaged, but the center diff is unlocked in high range. With the center diff lock switch installed, you will be able to engage and disengage the center differential in high range."On Oct-01-14 at 02:17:42 PDT, seller added the following information: This was sent by text to answer a question "how is the motor". "The Land Cruiser motor is rock solid. Starts easy year round, runs smooth. Like most LC I have had to add 1 quart approx. every 1,000 miles and I would change every 3,000, probably overkill. Engine has low oil light warning on dash when engine is 1 quart low, holds 7 quarts. Engine is quite clean as you can see in pictures and so is oil (I just changed at Toyota last week). I have bought Mobile One from Wal-Mart for $24 for 5 quarts. Previous owner over serviced the LC at the Local Toyota dealer. Since 10/2009 & 167,000 miles previous owner wanted to fix all engine oil leaks; had EGR, vacuum switch, Intake gasket, front and rear brake pads, pan gasket, valve cover gasket, oil pump seal, water pump and Thermostat all replaced at local Toyota dealer. This year in 2014 I replaced with new the power antennae, the two front window regulators, the top and bottom radiator hoses, the radiator and coolant, EMU old man steering stabilizer, 4 new Tokiko shocks (these are the Toyota OEM shocks which I've used for over 20 years, excellent shocks). I would go anywhere in this Land Cruiser with no fear. I once was a service advisor for a new car store and thus also tend to over service my cars. Again, bid with confidence, please note my 100% rating for over 10 years on similar sold items. Please bid early as two bids at the same amount, the early bid will prevail.
