Hello to all ebayers,..... ******ATTENTION!!!!******For an EXTENSIVE COLLECTION of CURRENT PICTURES ((170+/-))!!!!!, PLEASE CLICK on the link directly below this sentence!!****** http://my.tidewater.net/~kitti/ChevC10 PLEASE READ..... .....up for your consideration and/ or bid is yet another old classic out of my 30 year+ collection. This one being a 1966 Chevrolet C-10 Step-Side Pickup with a 468 cubic inch Big Block/ putting out a whopping 500+ HP!!! This Chevrolet is a "turn-key-and-go-driver".....EXCEPT for the fact that it needs exhaust from the headers back,...also it could use a front bumper for both "appearance-sake" and function, lastly a little TLC "here and there" wouldn't hurt either,...but that's about it! The engine has several high performance items as follows,...the aluminum intake is a high-performance dual-port 360 degree Offenhauser. The heads are also high-performance in that they are the RARE and very desirable rectangle-port design/ variation!!!.....and the engine exhausts threw Hooker Competition headers! As impressive as that is,...ALL that power is of no use if you can't get it to the ground!!!.....the 468 is backed up by a 700R automatic transmission.....and to finish things out is a 373 Positive-Traction rear-end/ differential!! A Big Block of this MASSIVE HP output IS NOT for the "FAINT-OF-HEART" and for serious bidders only,...NO "DREAMERS" please!!! For a truck with all this power that accelerates extremely fast,...you need to stop equally as fast too!!!.....to accomplish this feat, the C-10 is equipped with POWER DISC BRAKES up front. To keep this Big Block from getting "hot-under-the-collar" a NEW ALL ALUMINUM RADIATOR keeps the 468 at just the perfect temperature and doesn't leak a drop, as expected for being new!!! The engine turns over smoothly and fires right up when using a good battery with some high amperage,...a low amperage battery is just simply inadequate for an engine of this size and massive compression!!! For those of you interested, the following number-code is factory stamped in the engine block pad up front on the passenger side of the engine and is as follows;.....T12I0TRWC41170454. .....((SEE 1 of the engine pictures for this engine block pad# )) The sheet metal threw-out the C-10 is excellent all-the-way-around "top-to-bottom" only needing some minor attention on a few small spots,...((like the dent on the drivers side door up front.)) The undercarriage is in excellent condition throughout, from bumper to bumper, ((please see ALL the under carriage pictures that I posted)),.....they were taken on a car lift only days ago ((9/20/14)) so you the viewer get an excellent visual. The pickup bed floorboards are solid Oak, NOT pine or plywood,...and are in excellent/ solid condition only needing to be re-surfaced/ re-varnished. The '66 Chevrolet C-10 rolls down the highway on Corvette Rally Rims and ((235 70 15")) tires that are excellent all-the-way-around, hold air fine with no problems and are NOT weather-cracked or aged!!! In conclusion the '66 Chevrolet C-10 is an excellent truck as/ is for a "ready-to-go-driver" OR do some additional work to be a show quality vehicle. I've stated all that I know about the Chevrolet C-10 as factual as possible. Due to the age, the C-10 does not come with any guarantees or warranties expressed or implied and is sold as is where is. For the winning bidder I offer FREE delivery BUT only if you are local and/or up to only 20 miles away. If you are 21-100 miles from the C-10 I offer delivery for a fee of $1.00 per mile. I do not offer any delivery options over 100 miles and I certainly do not offer any long haul options from state to state either. Any winning bidder that is in the "over 100 mile category" it is up to you to make shipping arrangements and of course all transportation and shipping costs are the expense of you...(the winning high bidder). At my discretion, I may extend the free delivery from 21-100 miles if the C-10 reaches a dollar amount I deem acceptable. Should you use your own trailer/equipment to pick up the C-10,...I offer FREE loading assistance to you with my Rollback and equipment,...or I'll assist the carrier of your choice (should you hire one),...also FREE of charge. LASTLY,.....one other option is that.....if you want to hire a local mechanic to install the needed exhaust on the C-10,...you can drive off into the sunset afterwards!!! PLEASE NOTE;...the state of Maine does not/ will not issue a title for ANY automobile/ vehicle of 1995 and prior. I do not have a title and the C-10 comes with a bill-of-sale as ownership. ADDITIONAL NOTE;...some states will not accept a bill-of-sale as ownership of a vehicle,...please check with your individual state. FOR THOSE PERSPECTIVE BIDDERS THAT FIT INTO THIS LAST CATEGORY,...please let me know, as I can easily obtain a legal document from the state of Maine called (("Letter of Verification" @ 1 (207) 624-9000 extension 52149)) so that you can take this paperwork to YOUR state DMV you reside in and YOUR STATE will issue you a new title in your state. I've done this may of times before and to my knowledge this is the only perfectly legal way for bidders from title-demanding states to get a title for a vehicle from a non-title issuing state.
