Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1966 Superior Cadillac 3 way hearse. This pretty Cadillac came out of a Funeral Home in Northwest Iowa. Built by Superior Coach, this hearse is a 3 way, which means that the casket table can load out of the back or either side when the suicide doors are open, letting the table with the casket slide out the side. These 3 way coaches are always extremely sexy and elegant and this one is just stunning when the 3 way table is extended out the side. These mid to late 60's superiors with the stacked headlights are definitely my all time favorite coaches. Nothing of this era can compare to them. Superior definitely lives up to its name as far as the stacked headlight coaches from 65-68 are concerned. Its solid and has that slanted sexy sleek Superior lines that no other mid-late 60s coachbuilder can come close to. I found this car at an auction & could not pass it up. I have several other hearse projects that have been waiting to get done. Instead of just letting this one sit around and get dusty while I work on the other hearses that I have that need to be restored, I figure it would be better for someone else to enjoy it. I have no room in my garage or driveway and really need to get some work done on the other hearses that are awaiting restoration over here. Whoever gets this fine machine will definitely be happy with it. A little TLC and this hearse would be absolutely amazing. This one runs and drives nice, the brakes are a little soft, if you are the winning bidder, I would highly suggest that the brake line is checked and replaced before driving it anywhere. I saw a small amount of fluid under the drivers side brake line on the flatbed deck when it was transported here from Iowa. The hearse is Silver with a Black painted top. There are paint chips on the car and slight surface rust in the chipped spots that may or may not come out with a good buffing & polish. They would definitely be gone with a light sanding and new paint job. Aside from the chips, the paint is not too shabby for 48 years old. There is no major rot on this car and a quick coat of paint would make it gorgeous. As it is, it is definitely not bad looking. Could be a terrific car to drive for the upcoming halloween season and put a little elbow grease in it over the winter to have yourself a show car by spring. The drivers side rear tire will eventually lose air after sitting for a while & should be replaced or resealed. I would not fly in and drive this car home unless you plan on fixing the tire and brake line. I think it could use a set of whitewalls. With a paint job, this car will easily be worth big money. If it does not sell, you better believe I will put whitewalls, a brake line and a paint job on this car and will triple the price of it. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. I would like to see the car gone within a couple of weeks after auction end if possible. $500 deposit in 48 hours. Payment in full 5 days after auction end via cash or bank wire unless previous arrangements have been agreed upon. I would consider trading this car for 4x4 Ford truck with low miles or a Harley/VW trike or some other creepy weird car. Let me know what you have. No junk please. If you are not sure if a hearse is what you want or you are a looky loo please do not bid. I expect to be paid for this car, your winning bid is NOT an invitation to come look at the car and then decide if you want it or not. If you think you may be afraid of having a hearse go do everyone a favor and buy yourself a bus pass. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
