Feeling a little British? Don't forget to drive this beauty on the RIGHT side of the road once you're behind the wheel! This has been a fun car for our family for the last couple years...we just got a new, more modern toy and it's time to let someone else enjoy this little 2 seat roadster. This 1972 Triumph Spitfire is a fun car for warm weather climates or a summer car that will turn heads and create a LOT of interest from people who will come up to ask you questions. With a little work this car would make for a great investment. Even as it sits now, you'll still get a lot of enjoyment out of it! The car has just a hair over 50,800 original miles. Not bad for 42 years old. The body is in good shape. The chrome on this thing looks nice, and would look even better with some good old fashion elbow grease and chrome polish. The vinyl top is in great shape. The interior is so-so. Most of the carpet is great, some of it just needs to be re-adhered on the driver's side. The seats do have some separation around the seams, and the boot cover for the emergency break is deteriorated (I'll throw in a new one, though.) There's also a speaker that needs to be remounted. The radio antenna is missing, and easy fix at your local Auto Zone. The car has an upgraded Monza exhaust system. Some people love the deeper, race car noise it makes, some don't. If you choose to go back to a stock-like system, you can sell the Monza on Spitfire forums for a few hundred bucks. Wheels have been refurbished and in good shape. The car ran GREAT two summers ago. Unfortunately with the new toy in our family, it has been in the garage since last June, all lonely and looking for a new friend. So it currently idles rough today, as it needs to have its carburetor cleaned and probably could stand to have some new gas and plugs. If you're not familiar with Spitfires, they are super fun, not only for the road time but for the tinkering time.
