Vehicle Detail
I have up for auction a 1987 Honda GL1200 Goldwing Aspencade with 17,500 original miles. It has an AM FM radio w/ cassette deck. It comes with an owner’s manual and a repair manual as well. I have owned the bike for 1 .5 years and it gets somewhere around 38 - 39 miles to the gallon. The bike performs as it should and can be driven anywhere (a couple of the pictures shows me riding it down the street). I replaced the starter last year and it has a new battery and new speakers that were replaced a few weeks ago. The reason I am selling it is that I find myself easily getting drowsy riding it, which is neither good for me or the motoring public. The issues or problems that need attentionare as follows: 1. The tires have about 4,000 to 5,000 miles left on them before they will need to be replaced. 2. It is due for a servicing (oil change, spark plugs and possible carb cleaning as it falls off some above 70mph). 3. The cruise control does not work. The indicator light comes on in the dash, but the actuator does not set the throttle linkage. 4. The left saddlebag cover does not fit securely and has come off a time or two on me. 5. There is some rust on the chrome parts. 6. The seat is faded and has a few small tears in it. 7. It is missing the left side vent cover (in front of the rider’s knee). 8. It does smoke a small amount when started if it hasn't been run in a few days. If you are looking for a dependable ride at a good price, then this may be your opportunity. It is not in show condition, and you are buying it in AS - IS condition. I paid $2,800.00 for it last year and I am selling it with no reserve and a pretty small beginning bid, so the winning bidder will own this at the end of the auction. My loss is your gain. You can come look at it if you wish by responding to the email through this auction and I will be happy to set up a time for you to view it. Payment needs to be made in full within 7 days of the auction’s end. Thank you for looking and have a blessed day.
