One of the rarest Pontiacs ever made and considered the 5th rarest muscle cars ever. Only 252 of these cars were made in 1973 and this one only has 31,386 original miles. This car was hand built at GM and this car is in the Pontiac Super Duty Registry. This rare 1973 SD 455 Tran Am muscle car is all original with exception to a few minor things. First as shown in the pictures - the rims and tires -- the previous owner 15 years ago installed larger rims that were chromed and painted special with larger tires, these are on the car now but the original rims will go with the car. Next the paint is the original paint except for the front nose which I had painted about 9 years ago due to rock chips in the paint and the hood by previous owner. The car did have the small bird decal on this nose piece but so far it has not been put back on the car.This car has been garaged and stored since I purchased it in 2001 and it is very clean. You may never ever find an original numbers-matching 73 Super Duty Trans Am (survivor) like this one. Another added bonus with this car is the options, AC, ultra rare rear-defrost, tilt-wheel and 8-track tape deck. The windows and chrome are in perfect condition, the body is in excellent shape, the interior seats are near mint condition if not mint condition and the car is fast and runs great. The car had Zebart treatment when new so there is absolutely no rust anywhere on the car. The motor is numbers matching vin # stamped on block XD (pictured), numbers matching transmission and rear end. The intake and carburetor are from 1974 Super Duty and the motor updated with roller cam shaft, lifters and rocker arms. The original disturber was changed over to an electronic instead of points. These were all performance modifications. No headers, car original manifolds jet coated and custom exhaust. The motor was rebuilt 10-years ago and many parts under hood were repainted and powder–coated. AC no belt needs charging. This car has been storage for over 20 years, driven no more than 50 miles so will need some fit and finish – new fuel ect.
