1993 Mercedes-Benz 500SL One Owner low mileage Here is a one owner 500SL with very low miles. Most of the original maintenance receipts are here included with the car. The car is very beautiful, the motor drives very strong and shifts as it should. The owner unfortunately could not afford to maintain the car any longer and now a few things in it may need repair to make it an excellent car again. Considering that he paid over $100,000.00 for the car back in 1993, what you're paying for it now is a steal of a deal. Low reserve means that you can own this German Luxury car for a very nice price, spend a couple more dollars to perfect it and you are cruising in style. Driver side seat has one two inch separation in a seam on the middle of the seat bottom. The passenger side seat bottom will have to be replaced or reupholstered probably pick one up here on Ebay. Car interior carpet needs shampooing, the dash has a crack right above the instrument cluster but you can't really notice it. The driver side seat switch does not work and will have to be replaced. The instrument panel shows the SRS, ASR and a temp light coming on as well as a couple of the gauges are not working so we suspect an electrical problem somewhere in the dash or bad connection. We tried opening the hard top but the switch or motor does not work. The soft top is there in the car though. The car idles slightly rough but starts easily and drives and changes gears smoothly. If you step on the gas, the engines power is there as there really isn't any hesitation on take off. It drives very nice on the highway. If you want to spend a little time and money restoring a car, this would probably be the best candidate for it hands down. The body has never been in any accidents except the owner parked over a parking space concrete slab stop and on reversing, ripped off the front bumper on the protruding rebar so the bumper and one fender was replaced. The front radiator panel is clearly original with all stickers and not even a scratch on it. Original body, low mileage engine that starts and runs, smooth shifting transmission the only issues are cosmetic and electrical in nature. Air conditioner blows ice cold. The car is being sold as is where is and full disclosure is made here. A full detailing and a couple hundred dollars at the auto electrician or mechanic and a little time putting a few pieces back together and you're driving like a sports star. Nobody will know that you paid a few thousand for a $100K car and not even have a car note. Seriously, the rims and tires alone are $1500.00... Shipping is the buyers responsibility.
