Vehicle Detail
I have a beautiful 1979 Suzuki GS750EN that is road-ready. I bought this bike about 3 years ago and it has been garage kept ever since. I have ridden it very little. It starts, runs and stops great. I hate to sell it, but I have too many toys and too many bills! This bike is a real conversation piece. Every time I ride it I get compliments from the public. To my knowledge, it's pretty close to original except for new paint, exhaust, seat upholstery and the front master cylinder which the previous owner installed. The paint is black base with clearcoat. It has micro multi-colored metal flake that is only visible in bright sun. The paint job is about a 9 out of 10, with 10 being factory new. There is one hairline scratch in the clearcoat about 1/4" long that is barely noticable on the left rear of the tank. I'm not sure if the photos will show it, but I'll try. The tank and side cover emblems are brand new OEM Suzuki. The seat I was told was professionally recovered, but appears to have a new metal seat pan as well. It is very nice with no rips, tears or rust on the pan. The seat padding appears to be about 1/2" lower than stock. The wiring is unmolested, and all lights, signals and horn work perfect. It has a gear indicator light that also works great. Electric and kick starter work fine. Instruments are clear with no fogging and a working backlight. Tach and speedometer operate fine. There is no rust on this bike that I can see. 1979 was the last year for this classic with the factory 140mph speedometer and chrome front fender. Below are some other notable features: New Paint, new Suzuki OEM tank and side-cover emblems, new Interstate battery, new muffler (tailpipe), new fork oil, new air filter, fresh engine oil and oil filter, front brake pads almost new, rear pads about 1/2 worn, carbs recently cleaned and synched, front brake calipers appear to have been rebuilt (they are very clean and shiny behind the boots), new petcock fuel and vacuum lines, Continental tires with plenty of tread and no dry rotting, chain and sprockets in excellent condition. Bike has 15,985 miles. Clear Tennessee title in MY name. You might want to add a right mirror. It didn't have one when I bought it. The after-market front master cylinder installed by the previous owner does have female threads for the mirror. The exhaust is louder than stock, but it sounds great. Very throaty sound. The muffler has 3 phillips head screws on the end which will remove the baffle. If you desire, you could purchase and add fiber wrap around the baffle to quiet her down a little. The tires look great, but I'm not sure how old they are. They were on the bike when I bought it and I have ridden it very little. No visible cracking. Any imperfections you may see in the paint other than the tiny hairline clear-coat scratch mentioned are reflections/and or the auto-flash on my camera. Engine does not smoke or burn oil. I have attached 21 photos for you to scroll through. Double-click on the photo and you will see a photo gallery. I'm an honest seller with a 100% feedback rating. I have disclosed all that I know about this bike. Why spend $10k or more on a new bike that looks like everyone else's? This bike is a vintage low-mileage classic survivor and a real conversation piece. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. NO RESERVE. Good luck bidding! TERMS OF SALE: Winning bidder must pay a $250.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit through Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. Remaining balance must be received via certified check within 72 hours of auction end. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. I will assist your shipper, but I can't help lift the bike onto a truck, nor will I ride it up a narrow ramp onto a truck. This is not a dirtbike. Make sure your shipper is aware of that and has the means to load and transport a street bike properly. The bike can easily be ridden onto or into a low trailer with a let-down gate or ramp. I would advise you to make sure your shipper is insured/bonded. Seller is not responsible for shipping damage and/or costs. Bike or title will not be released until all funds clear bank. I have a clear Tennessee title in my name and will also provide you with a Bill of Sale if requested. Seller reserves the right to end auction early. Thank you.
