1987 STUDEBAKER AVANTI25th off the assembly line of less than 125 This Avanti is built for speed endurance and road rallying ! The anemic 305 motor was removed and the following updates are in this vehicle: GM 5.7 Liter/350 cu. in. High Output Motor approx. 295 h.p.Holley Manifold, Edlebrock 4 bbl. carb., Accel Distributor, B&M Shift Kit w/ 4 speed automatic Limited Slip Differential, Air Ride Technologies Suspension, Flowmaster Stainless Exhausts Pirelli Tires (205's front/215's rear) set on Factory Mag Wheels. Equipped with A/C, Tilt Wheel, P/S, P/B, P/W, wood veneer dash, steering wheel & console, power trunk release, cloth interior, and other creature comforts. She does need paint as there are areas of cracks in paint, scratches. and peeling. The worse part being between trunk and rear glass and on the cowl on left & right side by windshield. Typical. At cruise-ins and shows she still receives more attention than a Mustang or Camaro, but if you expect an Excellent Body, look elsewhere and expect to pay $20,000. Other items needing attention are the following: A/C needs recharging as last summer was cool. I would replace the radio. It stopped working and I never used it anyway. Also the doors sag slightly.
