For Sale is our 1948 Dodge D24 Fluid Drive with suicide doors. We had the car out at a few shows this year and everyone is always intrigued at how unique it is. We purchased it as a father/son project but unfortunately do not have the time for it. It has a Flathead 6 cylinder and is a fluid drive. The interior had been mostly re-done at some point by a previous owner. The very rear panels are still original, but there was left-over material that came with the car that will go with it as well. It still has an old lacquer paint job that is cracking in spots, but cleans up nice and is a very nice car to drive & enjoy. Should be an easy restoration if that's the route you would want to take. It runs, drives, and stops great (we drove it to local shows and events). It has all new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, and springs as well as all new stainless steel brake lines. New gas tank, sender, and stainless steel fuel line. New front bearings, races, seals, and new kingpins. New battery, cap rotor, wires (OE style), plugs. It has a brand new Pertronix kit that eliminates the points, but is nearly unnoticeable. Fresh oil and filter. New starter relay and voltage regulator. Rebuilt carburetor and a new Sisson automatic choke. The car is still 6 volt. Tires have good tread. We had also purchased a parts car and stripped it, so we have a ton of spare parts to go with the car, including a complete dash, transmission, rear, trim, etc. It is literally a truckload of spare parts.
