1972 Plymouth Valiant Scamp Coupe 1972 Plymouth Valiant Scamp This cute little Scamp was owned by a 94 year old woman here in Cincinnati Ohio. The quintessential little old lady story! She worked at the local department store and put precious few miles on her little Scamp. Over the decades, the car was very well cared for and the mechanical components were religiously maintained. The Scamp has great body lines with a slightly longer wheelbase and overall length than its more utilitarian Valiant sedan sibling. The concave rear window and pillarless hardtop design accentuates the speedy look. Some of the notable features of this model are as follows: Blue Sky Paint with optional Dark Blue vinyl top Deluxe Wheel Covers AM Radio Remote Driver’s Side Mirror 50/50 split back bench seat Protective Side Mouldings Power Steering Vinyl Roof TorqueFlight Automatic Transmission paired with the larger of the 6 cylinder engines, a 225 cubic inch displacement unit with single barrel carb renders this a very enjoyable and spritely Mopar coupe to drive. Today the Scamp has a whopping 21,951 miles on the odometer! The car lived in a one car garage its whole life and only required cosmetic attention when the original owner (in her advancing years) scraped the passenger side door on her garage opening. Memory of that repair can be seen subtly in the photographs. Likewise a small rear bumper ding rounds out any of the noticeable physical flaws. Overall she is a VERY fun and spritely car to drive. At any speed and/or any distance, this little scamp is ready for the open road!
